What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet. - William Shakespeare
Have u ever looked up what your name means? If not u should definitely do so. In the meantime, here are the origins and meanings of several of the names of caracters in the Alice in Wonderland movie. While some of the names from the verplaats are made-up (Seriously, when was the last time u actually met someone called "Tweedledee" of "Mallymkun?"), plenty of them aren't.

Something to think on: How well do the names and meanings match up to the characters' personalities?

Absolem – Hebrew. A form of Absalom, meaning “Father is peace.”
Alice – A German name meaning “Woman of nobility.”...

First off, I'm going to make this very clear: Since it's obvious that not everyone on this spot likes this sort of music, the value of the songs is up for debate. Therefore, I am going to base this review not on my opinion of the songs, but rather the arrangement of the CD.

Here is the track listing for the Hot Topic Exclusive version:

1. Alice - Avril Lavigne
2. The Poison - The All-American Rejects
3. The Technicolor Phase - Owl City
4. Her Name is Alice - Shinedown
5. Painting Flowers - All Time Low
6. Where's My Angel - Metro Station
7. Strange - Tokio Hotel & Kerli

Exclusive: Alice in Wonderland role earns Mia Wasikowska place at Hollywood's top, boven table
Jan 1 2010 Rick Fulton

SHE is already on lists of faces to watch in 2010 - and critics say she'll be one of the stars of the volgende decade.
But 20-year-old Australian Mia Wasikowska, who plays the titel role in Tim Burton's take on Alice in Wonderland, admits she feels a bit like Alice in Hollywood.
Being catapulted on to Hollywood's A-list door working with director burton and actor Johnny Depp felt like her own version of falling down the rabbit hole.
Mia said: "I think I had a similar experience to Alice - I was...

Peter's Evil Overlord List was compiled in 1994 door Peter Anspach as a lijst of things that one should and should not do if they become an evil overlord. The lijst can be found here: link

So how does the Red Queen measure up? Not very well actually. I have compiled the following lijst of all the things in the Evil Overlord lijst that she did wrong of didn't do at all.

3. My noble half-brother whose troon I usurped will be killed, not kept anonymously imprisoned in a forgotten cell of my dungeon. I’m scratching my head at why she didn’t just get rid of Mirana once and for all.

This hype is going to kill me. Am so excited!!!
The fiancee of Alice is exactly as i hoped creepy and majorly weird and Alice is better than i expected her to be.

I was delighted to hear Danny Elfmans distinctive muziek in the backround without him Alice In Wonderland wouldnt have been complete without him.

Now the voices are spot on especially the chesire cat..... "The Alice?" and the mad hatter. I was worried his voice would be something like willy wonka which is a bit too over the top, boven for this movie at least! And of course who can forget the red queen who may i add did a brilliant "off with...

(About the behind the scenes clip)

Let me be clear: I really enjoyed Tim Burton's take on "Alice in Wonderland." The story delivered a worthwhile continuation of Disney's original animated film while sticking to the twistedly whimsical spirit Lewis Carroll's classic book. A lot of folks felt the same way.

Then the movie ended. Like many, I was shaken door the... interesting creative choice made in the final minuten when Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter performs a CGI-assisted dance -- the Futterwacken -- to a techno beat. In the below clip from the Blu-ray/DVD's...

Have u had a chance to see Alice in Wonderland yet? If so, u are probably curious to knowmore about the lead in the movie Mia Wasikowska, who of course plays Alice.

She may not be a household name yet, but Mia Wasikowska is poised to kruis over into It Girl territory after her ster turn in Alice in Wonderland.

Mia grew up in Australia, but her mother is Polish. That is where she takes her name from. Before she got into acting, she was a ballet dancer.

Mia talked about her experience playing Alice and what a challenge it was.

She said, "One of the things that was scary about taking on that role is the huge fan base; everybody has their own idea of who she is. So [Tim burton and I] discussed, very early on, just being happy with her being our Alice...making her my own.".

What do u think Wambie girls? Is Mia the volgende famous face? Will she take the place of Miley of Selena?

Ok, so once the movie came out, people here seem to have gone NUTS making spots for the movie and its characters. However, most of these spots are duplicates. It makes no sense to have 10 Mad Hatter Spots, 5 spots dedicated to the movie and so on and so on. PLEASE check this lijst of zoek the linken of this spot BEFORE u make a new club for a character. Duplicate spots are useless and they clutter up Fanpop needlessly. If u know of any other ones, please leave a commentaar letting me know. Unfortunately, when people have made their spots they have not gegeven their spots good keywords, so I...

There has been a dramatic increase in misplaced content in this spot!

Firstly, the QUESTION/ANSWER section if for asking vragen that u DO NOT know the answer to, that have FACTUAL answers. This is a section for fans to help other fans answer vragen about the movie that they have. This section is NOT for asking for OPINIONS about the movie/characters/music etc. For example "Did u like the movie?" and "Don't u think that the Dormouse is so cute?!?!" are NOT QUESTIONS. Those types of vragen should be PICKS of forum TOPICS.

Secondly, while the 'Alice In Wonderland' story takes many...

TeenHollywood: Helena, that's an adorable dress.

Helena: Thank you! I thought it was appropriate for Alice.

TeenHollywood: When people say u have a "big head" in this movie, they aren't speaking of your ego, right?

Helena: Well, I’m not as inflated (today). Maybe that’s why Tim gave me the job. I’m one of the few actresses who can blow up their head.

TeenHollywood: Is there muziek in the background? Can someone turn that off?

Helena: Funny. That’s my music. That’s what we do at home pagina is we have the (film's) score going…

The Hatter, er, Alice in Wonderland poster.
The Hatter, er, Alice in Wonderland poster.
We are all excited about the Alice movie. If we weren't, we wouldn't be on this spot. But is it really Alice's story anymore?

My friend, her sister, and I were at the cinema together seeing the Lightning Thief movie. As we left the theater, we were confronted door a huge poster for Alice in Wonderland with a crazy-big neon-bright image of the Mad Hatter on it. My friend's sister zei "If it's called Alice in Wonderland, the why is there only a picture of the Hatter on the poster?"

It's a reasonable question, and one that really made me think. Of all the posters I had seen promoting Tim Burton's...

Q: Your upcoming Alice looks like it might be a meer adult interpretation, considering she's meant to be 19...

A: With Alice, the imagery has been around for so long, it's so iconic. The problem with the boeken is that they're episodic and kind of random events that the films have always suffered from the idea of a passive little girl going, "Oh, that's weird. Oh, I'm shrinking! Oh, I'm growing! I say!" So the goal was to try and take that imagery and be true to it but make it a new movie. So she's older, which puts in context. That's what's always been missing.

I think, with all these stories,...

Johnny Depp has revealed that he loved playing the Mad Hatter in Alice In Wonderland.

Depp became meer and meer interested in the character after reading the original novels, Contactmusic reports.

"I started reading the boeken and understanding the character and the significance of the letter M," he said. "There's a moment when he says, 'I'm investigating things that begin with the letter M'.

"That was huge for me. Hatters were referred to as mad because of the mercury they used to use in the glue. Mercury was the M. I found that fascinating."

However, Depp has also admitted that filming was "exhausting" because he worked with green screens so much.

"It beats u up," he revealed. "You're kind of befuddled at the end of the day."
