honcho Ryan Murphy announced the casting via Twitter, also teasing a triangle of sorts to come, involving Wittrock, Lady Gaga and Matt Bomer:

As shared in Ask Ausiello, Wittrock hinted at the new gig while attending the recent Critics’ Choice Awards, saying,  “I will be back in the Ryan Murphy universe in some capacity. How exactly that’s going to manifest, I still honestly don’t know.”

Ugh. He was the worst part about FreakShow. This makes me lose interest in Hotel.

Really? He was the reason I kept watching after the clown died. Great actor.

They way a character is written (such as an over-reacting and loud entitled crybaby) is not the same thing as the acting of the actor. I found Finn Wittrock on point as Dandy.

He made AHS Freak Show. This makes me even more excited for Hotel, if that is even possible. He is outstanding!!!

They could do better..like each other, maybe.

I use to love AHS but last season has really tempered my excitement over it. They just don’t seem that interested in telling a tightly crafted story anymore.

This is season 5 of a Ryan Murphy show. You know for a fact that we can’t have good things at this point. That being said, this needs to happen and they need to bring in whoever does the Connor stuff for HTGAWM to direct it.

Dandy was my favorite character from Freakshow. I love Finn Wittrock and I’m super thrilled that he joined this already amazing series! Team Wittrock 💙
