wow this is a really good question and its obvious that he had an improtant relationship wiht all of these people each one of them shaped him on who he was and his actions but in my opinon its defiitly between obiwan and padme i got to go with obiwan i think even though him and padme were married he definitly knew obiwan better and i think obiwan knew him better and i think obiwan had the greatest impact on him seriously though this question is awsome i mean all of these relationships were important and at some point good i think i'm going to write an article about this because its a super interesting topic. and for those who don't think him and luke had a good relationship think of one of the main reasons he overthrew the Emporer

This was too easy! He loved her, and I personaly LOVE them together. They have the best relationship.

I think he definitely had the best relationship with Padme. He could definitely relax and be himself around her, and in turn, she could relax around him, smile, laugh a little more. Which only makes Mustafar more heartbreaking.

Qui-Gon, yes, even if for a short time. Shmi as well. *Huggles both Shmi and Anakin* Palpatine...I don't really think so. Especially considering that Anakin was just another pawn to him. And Obi-Wan...he may have loved Anakin deeply, but I don't think their relationship was that great. I don't think he knew how to deal with someone like Anakin. He loved Anakin more than anything, yes, and Anakin loved him in turn ("As wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Mace Windu." Despite every one of Obi-Wan's flaws, Anakin loves him without restraint...even after Mustafar, I'm certain that even though Vader tried to hide it, it never really went away), but neither of them knew how to express it.

As for Luke...call me slightly crazy, but even though I love the relationship between them to pieces (those naive, irrational, silly little youngsters -- okay, Vader's technically not a youngster, but you get my point. XD), I still...have some doubts. Not because of Vader per se, but because of this one niggling question: if Vader hadn't been his father, would Luke have tried to save him? Especially considering...everything else. #That and there are other reasons, but I'd best keep them to myself. Don't hate the relationship per se; I just have...misgivings about it. Small ones, but they're there nonetheless.

Anakin's best relationships were with his mother and his wife, followed by Qui-Gon. Being called "the chosen one" as a child damaged every other relationship, fed his ego, and weakened his will to Palpatine's relentless persuasions.
