I'm a great admirer of what I know to datum of Andrew Scott's body of work, but somehow have only now watched “Handsome Devil”. I have no argument whatsoever about casting but it struck me just towards the end of viewing that perhaps it could have been a meer interesting casting choice for Mr Scott to have taken the role of the Sports teacher/rugby coach, rather than the inspirational English teacher Mr Sherry. Of course Mr Scott's natural sensibilities and acting skills make him so well suited for the latter role, also gegeven that there would seemingly have been personal experiences to draw...
