Is it normal to be in love with an anime character?

I have to admit that I’m in love with Christian Seto Rosenkreuz. The odd part is I’m not interested in real-life dating. Looking back I think I've had a crush on him since playing Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist of the Roses when I was 9. Now that I'm 17 it's become love (although that might have happened last year) to the extent that I can’t picture myself with anyone else.
Is it normal to be in love with an anime character?

There is a big difference between Crush and Love. So when u say u 'love' an anime character u usually mean u have a crush on them because if u love a fictional character(like love love) then u have serious problems.

No, that isn't normal at all.

I'm not telling anyone that they can't have feelings for an anime character, because it isn't my place to tell people what they can of can't do. I don't have that authority. But i do think that once u verplaats beyond a harmless crush on a fictional character, that u need to stop. You'll never be happy, because if your one true love doesn't really exist, then you're only harming yourself door continuing to love that character.
