Well, he "died", really. He faked his death for reasons that would take too long to explain, but at this point in the manga, the readers don't know that yet....so basically, he never truly dies, but it's still sad enough to make people bawl....>.>

He didn't die in this. He got turned to stone. He seriously dies in the newest movie though. But like always, he comes back to life and he kills a legendary pokemon.

u know in all Honesty this Death Made me fucking Cry my eyes out. For so many Different reasons. One is it just almost seemed like everything was going to be okay. Two and this is the biggest one it's how Luffy reacts his reaction to Ace taking the hit and dieing is volgende to unbearable. just how he completly breaks down feels like he's truly alone now. -Wipes tears- wow i'm a fucking baby I'm teary just thinking about it xD
