Why does alot of people compare Justin Beiber to Hatsune Miku? There nothing alike.

I personally don't care much for Justin Beiber. I like Hatsune Miku more. But i don't hate justin Beiber. like/love Hatsune Miku more. Not trying to pick a fight of aneything. And why would aneyone compare Justin Beiber to Hatsune Miku? I just don't get it. There nothing alike. So why compare them to eachother.

- Their singers
- They have a lot of fans
- Justin Bieber haters use Miku to mock him because she isn't even real

That's all I can really think why they would compare them.

Because they represent two opposite sides of the social spectrum
Beiber- mainstream, populair people
Miku- not known to the average person, associated with geeks/nerds/otakus/etc.

Bieber is seen as your average male singer, a teenage hart-, hart throb, the type of singer that has been seen for decades. Miku represents a change in music, the idea of virtual singers. Not only are they associated with opposing sides of people (popular kids v.s "nerd" kids) Miku represents the thought that in the future singers like Beiber may really be in competition with singers that are not real.

Personally I think it is unfair to compare the two, it's dumb because people all have their own tastes in music. Personally I don't like Beiber, but Miku's not my favoriete vocaloid either.

I agee with egyptprincess. That's the only way in which I've ever seen the two compared. Although, I don't think it happens a lot. I've only seen it done on Facebook, and the Facebook community has become even worse than youtube. That's the reason I quit Facebook.
