I'm looking for new anime to watch... Please can someone recommend some to me?

Thank u very much in advance, help will be greatly appreciated...

What I am looking for: plenty of characters that u can get very attached to and a good plot. I couldn't care less about the art. I don't want anything that's just slice of life, of romance, of anything cheesy. Please don't recommend anything with lots of fanservice. Ideally, I like an anime with a good adventure.
