I sort of forced myself to watch Naruto because I knew how populair it was but I was really expecting to dislike it of find it boring; I was essentially "double-checking" in case there was a 1% chance that I liked it so I could verplaats on with my life and stop going over "what-if" scenarios in my head. I was trying to find videos on my iPod and could only find dubbed episodes (I am not a fan of dubs, but I figured I'd just watch the first episode and be done with it so it wouldn't matter). To my complete surprise I ended up watching the first few episodes and still wanted to know what happened next, so my mindset was essentially, "Screw this, I'm going to find the subbed episodes on the computer", which is a big deal because this was before I got my laptop and the old computer sits literally right in front of the door to the stairs, which is right in front of the front door of the house - anyone could walk in and see what was on the computer, even someone who merely rang the door klok, bell - and it basically feels like an invasion of privacy. I was thinking, "Okay, I'll just watch the volgende episode to MAKE SURE I don't want to continue, so the computer issue shouldn't matter!" Of course, a few episodes later I realized I still wanted to keep watching, and then I came to the miraculous epiphany that, "Shit, I actually like this, don't I?" And then I stopped being in denial and that was that. XD
