Tarrant Hightopp (the Hatter) loved hats. He lived in Underland. He had a clown face. He wanted to become a hat designer. He zei "I want to become a good hatter like my dad." 1 night he stared at the sky, imagining a sky full of hats. He suddenly had a dream where he was in a hat filled area.
Zanik Hightopp zei "Tarrant what are u doing in my dream?"
Tarrant zei "This is my dream too."
Zanik zei "So u want to design hats too?"
Tarrant zei "Yes please."
Zanik zei "Remember that hats aren't for war of for money. Hats are a beautiful dream. Hatters bring dreams to life."
Tarrant zei "So I can be a hatter?"
Zanik zei "Of course u can."
Years later Tarrant was a young adult on a train ride to his college. While there Tarrant met a young girl named Alice Kingsleigh. Tarrant's favoriete hat got blown door the wind. Alice caught the hat and handed it to Tarrant. Tarrant zei "The hats are rising. We must try to keep them on our heads."
A short time later a earthquake happened. Alice's guardian, Mallymkun (The Dormouse) had a injured leg so Tarrant volunteered to take her home.
Tarrant zei "Mam don't worry. I'll get u home." Tarrant carried Mallymkun to her home. Alice carried Tarrant's suitcase.
Alice zei "Thank u for saving her."
Tarrant zei "You're welcome."
Alice zei "What's in your heavy suitcase?"
Tarrant zei "100 thee cups. Well I better get going. Fairfarren."
Years later Tarrant and his best friend Thackery (The March Hare) graduated from college. Tarrant was a cheerful person, but Thackery was grumpy. They got jobs working at a hat company. Sadly this was during World War 2 and hats were being used for war.
Tarrant turned out to be a better hat designer than anybody else. Tarrant constantly had visions which he used for hat designs. He zei "Bosses what do u think of my work?"
The 2nd in charge of the hat company, Hamish Ascot, zei "These designs aren't what I asked for."
The 1st in charge, Mirana (The White Queen), zei "This is better than what we wanted and expected. Good job."
Tarrant zei "Thank you."
Hamish reluctantly zei "Congratulations."
1 of Tarrant's hat ideas got created. The hat was tested to find out if it could fly in the air.
Mirana zei "The hat is flying."
Hamish zei "Well so far it is."
A minuut later the hat fell. Tarrant was upset that the hat crashed to the ground.
Tarrant zei "That's not good."
Mirana zei "The design was good, but the end result wasn't."
Hamish zei "Which is why u and the haas are being sent to Germany to study hat designs."
Tarrant and Thackery went to Germany. Tarrant zei "This is exciting."
Thackery zei "It would be better if the sneaky Germans actually let us look at the hats closely enough."
The guards made sure that Tarrant and Thackery got to look at a minimal amount of hats.
Tarrant was optimistic, but Thackery wasn't. Tarrant zei "This isn't too bad."
Thackery zei "Actually it's bad."
Tarrant zei "But we got to see some German hats."
Thackery zei "The Germans won't let us find out how to make the same quality of hats. This is a useless effort."
Tarrant zei "Don't u think u should be happier?"
Thackery zei "Nah."
Tarrant was sent back to Underland. Tarrant had another dream where Zanik returned. Tarrant zei "Hi dad."
Zanik zei "Are the hats still rising?"
Tarrant zei "They sure are."
Zanik zei "Excellent."
Tarrant zei "Actually my job is falling apart. Underland is behind when it comes to hats. The Germans are beating us."
Zanik zei "Son u have what the Germans don't: creativity. Creativity outranks all fancy new hat materials."
Tarrant zei "You're right."
Zanik zei "Artists have a decade to shine. We hatters are no different. Live your decade well."
Mirana wanted Tarrant to recover from the hat crash so Tarrant spent some time at a hotel.
Tarrant walked outside where a now grown up Alice Kingsleigh was. Alice was a painter. Alice's umbrella got blown door the wind, but Tarrant caught it.
Alice's dad, Charles Kingsleigh, zei "Thank u for saving the umbrella."
Tarrant zei "You're welcome."
The volgende dag Tarrant paced around outside and found Alice. Tarrant zei "Hi."
Alice zei "It's you. I remember you. u saved Mally years ago. She and I were so thankful for your kindness during the earthquake."
Tarrant zei "It's good to see u again."
Tarrant and Alice walked together. It was raining. Tarrant zei "This rain better not ruin my hat."
Alice zei "You were pretty much a hero to me and Mally."
Tarrant zei "Really?"
Alice zei "Of course. She would of died in the earthquake if u weren't there. I'm surprised that u would work hard to save somebody that u don't know."
Tarrant zei "You never need to know to help." Tarrant and Alice smiled at each other.
The volgende night Alice was sick so Tarrant didn't get to visit her. He was slightly sad about that.
The volgende dag Tarrant made a hat and threw it to Alice. Tarrant zei "Wanna play catch with hats?"
Alice zei "That idea is mad, bonkers, but all the best ideas are."
Alice threw the hat back to Tarrant. Tarrant caught it.
Tarrant and Alice kept throwing hats to each other. It was lots of fun. Tarrant realized that he had fallen in love with Alice. He might even love her meer than hats.
Alice's hat fell off her head. Tarrant caught her hat. Even though it was a hat for girls Tarrant put the hat on. Alice giggled.
The volgende dag Tarrant was in the dinging room with Charles Kingsleigh. Tarrant zei "Before I came to your hotel I was lonely, but now I'm happy, because I have a true love."
Charles zei "Are u in love with Alice?"
Tarrant zei "Yep. I wanna be with her forever. Is that okay?"
Charles zei "I'm not sure what to say."
Alice zei "I hope u say yes."
Tarrant zei "Alice I love you."
Alice zei "I love you."
Tarrant zei "Will u be my girlfriend?"
Alice zei "Of course. I've loved u since the dag your hat brought u to me."
Tarrant and Alice kissed.
Alice moved to Underland. Tarrant was excited to spend meer time with Alice, but his job kept him busy.
Tarrant zei "Thackery how's your hats?"
Thackery zei "Terrible. It's a disaster."
Tarrant zei "Oh. Good luck."
Thackery zei "You too."
Tarrant zei "Boss my girlfriend misses me."
Hamish zei "Too bad. We're close to making your dream hat. No time for romance."
Tarrant zei "You're sadly right."
Hamish kept Tarrant busy for a week. After all that Tarrant visited Alice. Tarrant zei "Alice I'm sorry that I've been gone."
Alice zei "Don't worry about it."
Tarrant zei "Are u still sick?"
Alice zei "Hardly."
Tarrant zei "Here's some tea: the best cure in all of Underland."
Alice zei "The thee tastes kind of weird."
Tarrant zei "Oh. That's the verlopen tea."
Alice zei "Why do u have expire tea?"
Tarrant zei "It's for the Cheshire Cat."
Tarrant worked hard several days while Alice waited for him to visit her. Finally he got his big war hat ready. Tarrant presented it to his co-workers while his bosses watched.
Mirana zei "It's a eccentric hat."
Hamish zei "It's fantastic."
Poor Alice was tired of spending her days alone so she went to Tarrant's house. Alice zei "I dislike bothering you, but I missed you."
Tarrant zei "I missed u too. After my war hat is finished we'll be together always."
A week later Tarrant's war hats were ready to be used for World War 2. Tarrant tried to focus on the hats, but he was distracted door how much he missed Alice.
Hamish zei "The hats are ready."
Mirana zei "Congratulations."
Tarrant zei "Oh. Thanks."
All of Tarrant's hats got destroyed during the war, but Tarrant had something meer important to deal with. Tarrant visited Alice. He zei "Hi."
Alice zei "I heard what happened to your hats. u must be so sad."
Tarrant zei "Not at all."
Alice zei "Are u sure?"
Tarrant zei "Alice during my life I've had 2 loves: the work love and you. I lost 1 love, but my true love is alive and that's all I need to be happy." Alice kissed Tarrant.
