I loved the third movie. It showed that Anne and Gilbert's love could survive anything...even if the world was coming down and all you had were the rings.

Anne finally realizes when Gilbert is dying that he needed her and she needed him. For 2 years they were really hanging out a lot together. I love the ending of the sequel Megan, Johnathon, and Kevin Sullivan.It makes me smile and cry out "YES!!!!!. Victory"

The third movie was more romantic, but the story-line wasn't even remotely similar to the book, and that just killed it for me.

@Echoes - same here. But I do like the films. :D

Even though all three films depart on various levels from the amazing vision of L.M. Montgomery's original series, and number three is the worst, if you judge each one on their own merits and independent from the books, then they are all fabulous, and each shows the evolution of Anne and Gilbert's ever-changing relationship. While number three definitely high-lights the length they will go to to be with each other again, the most romantic for me would have to be number 2, based on the last scene alone :)

But I love it in all three!
