I decided to post an article. Because why not? My club is honestly lacking in them.
So I'm just going to lijst off some games I like and ramble about some of them. Not in any particular order, mind you.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
So from what I've heard fans don't like this game?? Although I'm sure that it's not like everyone collectively hates it, probably some nostalgic assholes that think any game where Link is an underdetailed squash of pixles is going to be 100x better than any of the 3D of Wii Zelda games causing a ruckus. Although Demise was a pretty underwhelming villain tbh. Ghirahim is so great though. Almost makes up for it.
It's really the only Zelda game I played without getting frusturated at the wonky controls of got bored of. And I've only played three.
But I still really enjoy it.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
The only other Zelda game I played other than playing Link to the Past on a Gameboy emulator on my laptop. Anyways, it's kinda dark for a Zelda game but shit, if Majora's Mask was dark enough to get a creepypasta based off it when people actually tried to make creepypastas based off dark/scary things, I don't get what the big deal is.
It was fun. But the controls were kinda wonky. Either I had a bad Wii remote of the game just didn't translate seamlessly over from what many would argue to be the far superior GameCube.
I liked fishing in the game. That was pretty rad. I know that the world is pretty much being forced into a state of darkness but hey, fishing is good too.
Zant was an okay villain. Still like Ghirahim meer tho.
Soul Calibur
I'm too lazy to make seperate entries for this one. Soooo I'm just gonna briefly ramble about the ones I've played.
2 is the first one I played, I really enjoyed it and it had a lot meer of an arcade feel. I liked the storylines and the arcade mode they had. I think I normally played as Raphael of Voldo. They had a pretty small roster on that game so eh-
And then 4 was good, it was like 2 but with new things implimented into it. Gameplay was nice, and it was challenging without making u want to throw your controller out the window most of the time. Although it didn't make it clear on who's storyline in the arcade mode was acctually the canon one in that game so that was kinda sucky.
5 cleared up the storyline a bit but caused a shit ton of meer plotholes. Like, I think it was Sophita's storyline mostly but she died? Idk. I don't like that they got rid of arcade mode, a lot of characters were just so bland of u didn't know what was going on with them during the story because of it. Like, I would like to see what vampy things Raphael was doing during that. And is Viola really Amy??? We will never know for certain since 6 is meer of a fresh start and not continuing from the 5th installment.
Also, I liked Patroklos. Although Pyrrha got on my nerves because she just seemed like some "shy kawaii schoolgirl uwu" and was really edgy.
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
I actually really love Oblivion. Although I've never beaten the main quest in the game-
The voice acting is lame and the graphics are stiff but it has some humor and charm to it because of that. Also the alchemy in it is way better than Skyrim, spells are hard to figure out but I love the variety.
I like picking a class in it too, like, Skyrim's levelling up system is okay but I really liked all the different atributes in Oblivion.
And despite the bad graphics a lot of monsters u encounter seem way meer intimidating than the dragons of frost trolls u find in Skyrim. Even the Falmer aren't too scary.
Harvest Moon: Animal Parade
So I've actually played two Harvest Moon games. But I'm only talking about this one since vrienden of Mineral Town actually got boring a lot quicker.
So this game is okay. It's a great time wasting game of a game u play to just kinda relax.
The characters are okay, the bachelors are all nice and it's easy to get attatched to them.
Although playing it for days on end will burn u out a bit as u repeat the same deal every day. So it's a game u binge on for about a week and then u get bored of it for a couple weeks before picking up the remote and turning the Wii on again.
I really like the style of it, too, it's cute without being eye bleedingly so like the other games. Kind of refreshing, gives me a nostalgic vibe when I play it.
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
So this is my favoriete game. Although it's not flawless, since it's buggy and can get boring quickly if u don't have any interesting quests to do and you've discovered and cleared most dungeons on the map and u still refuse to set foot into a Falmer cave-
It's really great though. I like the combat system, the magic use is better in this than Oblivion even if there's significantly less spells. So it's fun blowing shit up as a wizard.
I normally play as rogue class though. There's something satisfying about skulking right under the feet of other NPCs without them noticing after u completely max out your sneak.
Sometimes it gets boring though. A lot of the quests are nothing too special, and even the koeler, koelwagen ones like the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves' Guild gets painful to pull through after two of three times playing the game.
But I still really love it. It's pretty nice.
Also, on another note, I was going to add afbeeldingen but something is being fucky and I can't uploaden any.
