Does it seem unusual that when the Santa's appeared to be leaving that the Elf population seemed to come unglued? Well, in this version of reality it is just what should be expected. One of the apparent aspects of the Elf and Santa relationship is that the Elf trusts and depends on the Santa to be there and to provide no less support than a parent would for a five jaar old child. This is a situation that we as adults cannot experience as we have no access in our lives to a person with the qualities of Santa.

If u have some spare sympathy please offer it to the heroes of the CGI, of the character designs, of the story arch, of Arthur Christmas. This effort has taken years to achieve all the story elements in such great detail that was required, really much meer effort than might have been expected. Not to be simplistic but this was a labor of love. u can see it in the characters body language, their relationships with each other. the carefully created locations where they worked and how totally charming and skilled they are. They are as real as any human, probably meer so as they have been endowed...

This film has added so many new characters to be enjoyed that it is almost overwhelming. Because of the very significant quantity of detail possible using CGI (Computer-generated imagery) one must watch the film meer than once to really appreciate what has been created. Just reading the various reviews, almost totally positive, one can see that the reviewers do not fully understand what they have seen.

This film combines science fiction, magic and religion (hey, it is about Christmas!) and does it so well that the wait for the blu-ray (Christmas 2012) can only be tolerated door lively discussions...
