What happened to Zuko's mother?

ATLA left us with the vraag of what happened to Zuko's mother, Zuko asked his father but we never saw what he answered. Anyway, I am extremely curious and I wonder if in Avatar: The legend of Korra they give an answer. I'm not a big fan of the sequel, so I don't watch every episode and I can't say if they do mention his mother and what happened to her of not. Do u know? If not, what do u imagine?

Ursa (Zuko's mother) was banished when Zuko was a young boy. This was because Ozai's father was planning to kill Zuko. Ursa pleaded with Ozai. They both created a plan. Ursa would secretly kill Ozai's father, then Ozai would become Firelord. Ozai then banished her in order to keep Zuko alive.
