What I’m sure I can safely say that a hell of a lot of people have been waiting for for quite some time: the story of what happened to Ursa, a.k.a. Zuko’s Mum.

-

Dark Horse are wrapping up their three part graphic novel series “The Promise” set after the events of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and have announced that writer of The Promise: Gene Luen Yang and Girihiru Studios will be returning to work on another series of graphic novels; The Search.

The zoek will primarily focus of the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Ursa, the mother of Prince Zuko and Princess Azula, it will also reveal details of Azula’s fate following the end of the Hundred Years War, including her imprisonment in a brand Nation mental institution and the effects this has had on her.

According to an interview with writer Yang, unlike Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra, The Promise, etc. The zoek will take the brand nation royal children as the main focus, while Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph and co. will still be around and featuring, they will have less prominent roles than usual.

Yang has also stated that “I’m happy to say, writing “The Search” is giving me the chance to explore that side [the ‘supernatural’ side] of Aang and his world.” alluding to such events as (Spoilers for A:TLA Series 1 finale) the siege of the Northern Water Tribe and Aang’s journey into the spirit world, along with how this will define it from the vorige series The Promise which focused on the political ramifications of the end of the Hundred Years War.

Yang has confirmed that The zoek takes place immediately after the end of The Promise.

I for one am incredibly excited to finally have the mystery of Ursa’s disappearance revealed! Having already purchased and loved the first two parts of The Promise, I have faith that The zoek will be absolutely stunning, loyal to the Avatar universe and doing great justice to the events, characters and themes of Avatar.
Getting to see how Azula’s defeat and mental breakdown has changed her over the time before The zoek (I’m here assuming that Azula has been in the “unnamed brand Nation mental institute” for the entire time period of The Promise - which is a little over a year)

-1. Dress-

Aang grumbled as he waited for Katara to come out of the fitting room. Why did girls have to take so long with this stuff?

More importantly, why did she have to pick that dress to try on?

-2. Lightning-

Why did Azula have to strike Aang? What did he do to deserve this?

From the moment Azula shot Aang, Katara has always been terrified of lightning, because it nearly killed the love of her life.

-3. Manliness-

Who says words of comfort and hugs arent manly?

Apparently, Sokka does.

But Aang wasn't ready to have Katara stop hugging him and murmuring soothing words into his ear.

-4. Anger-

Aang...

So I realised, looking through the artikels on this page, that there are quite a few lists of 'most attractive females' on Avatar. That got me a-wondering: Why are there fewer, if any, for the boys? I thought, maybe, the people who wrote the artikels might be predominantly guys themselves who didn't feel comfortable with expressing any attraction to animated boys, but were fine to do so with the girls. But no - most of the writers seemed to be female, and straight. The hows and the whys may confound me, but I thought to myself: Maybe, to balance things out, I should write an artikel on the...
