I like her but both options describe her personality fully and completely.

I can't really pick from the two choices, sometimes I think she's pretty cool and awesome, but other times-actually, most times- she's just annoying.

Boring character and a typical one for this type of show.
I don't think she's pretty. Hair loopies are not cool even though during Sozin's Comet she looks a bit better.
Her mum has died but that's been done so many times before in television, movies, video games e.t.c. I'm not that bothered.
She is powerful but so many other female characters are like Azula,Suki,Mai,Ty Lee,Toph and I could go on.
She is nice and kind but that doesn't appeal to me.
Bloodbending is amazing. And I liked The Painted Lady episode. Those are the two good things I honestly do like about Katara.
Sorry about the long comment. I could rant on about this forever.

Not my favorite character and I didn't like her at all in first season but by the third seaqson I really liked her :).......maybe it has something to do with the zutaraness of the third season hehehehehe

She's okay. The only episodes I really like her in is The Painted Lady and The Puppet Master. Bloodbending is cool.

But other than that, no. She is so irritating

She's my fave character! How can so many people not like her? I understand sometimes she can be emotional and annoying but can't we all?

It's hard to say. I do admire how she's willing to help people, and won't let people tell her that she cannot help them when she obviously can. There are also times where I cannot stand her. She's annoying, vile, awesome, and admireable- frankly my lack of ability to make a decision is driving me nuts.

I only hate her because I hate Zutara, but then I realized how retarded that was... I really think she's awesome. Sweet, funny, and caring. And she is pretty, and I think hair loops should be in Vogue :)
But she was really whiny, and I thought she dated way too many guys, you know?

She's not my least favorite character, but throughout the show, I just grew to dislike her. What I hated was how she WAS whiny! She kept telling boys that she lost her mother and how her necklace was all she had left of her and how tough it was. Granted, it is a special part of her life, but is it really necessary to tell every boy she meets? It gets repetitive.

She's that cliche character on a show that is bossy, acts like a parent, and is allergic to fun. I've seen that a lot, from eitehr gender, and, really, all those kinds of people bore me. True, she is kind and caring, but there's still that part of her that comes out that bothers me a lot.

She IS annoying. In "the Waterbending Scroll," she became obsessed with mastering some stupid trick, and even hurt her friend's feelings and got the gang in trouble. She was always trying to be the mother and the leader of the group when she just oversold it and made herself just more annoying. I respect her in several ways (she is powerful and, again, sweet and generous), but overrall, I don't think she's a great character.

I love Katara, I've always liked her. :)
