Why did the Cullens always wear white in the first movie?

Like i know they didnt wear it ALL the time... but mainly at school they did..

The white doesn't make them look AS pale and it isn't contrsting with their skin as much. For instance if they wore black their "pale-ness" would be meer appearant/ dominate and make them stand out more. even though all of them wearing white makes them stand out a little. haha.
