It was really laughable, everything, how they had tried preparing everything, prepare their defences. They still ended up in a chaos. Beginning with Miss Parkinson's ill-chosen and not very thought through comment, and then subsequently continuing with her entire House, and the Gryffindors, and the Hufflepuffs, all aiming their wands at the Slytherins... It was mad lunatic chaos, a thing no one should ever meet of experience.
She was still staring blankly at the tafel, tabel when Professor McGonagall announced the evacuation, even though it was her duty, her duty to escort the younger students to safety, as a Hogwarts Prefect. Gleaming drops of tears were dropping silently down into her lap, the result of a combined assault door terrible frustration and desperate despair.
This fateful dag had just begun like any other day, with her on tenderhooks during the entire period of classes. She hated learning the Dark Arts, and would do nothing else but stare mistrustingly at Amycus Carrow while he conducted the class, occasionally selecting a few students for "practical demonstrations".
