From the very beginning of Gossip Girl, Chuck and Blair have had an inexplicable, intense connection. They were demonstrated early on to be matched in intelligence, cunning and wit, and after the infamous limo scene in 1.07, it became strikingly clear that they were (and still are) a perfect physical match as well. After watching this episode, we feel like our recap will read meer like Chuck bas, bass Appreciation Post Part 500 of whatever, because damn. He’s just that awesome. From rocking a red onesie jumpsuit, to proving yet again that he is meer serious about Blair’s happiness than even Blair herself, he was the shining ster of the show.



We loved Chuck in his onesie–Seriously, who else could pull that off?–and his man-bonding session with Nate at the beginning of the episode. We also loved the callback to early seasons of Chuck and Nate playing sports together–it actually felt like Gossip...

“Closure: the unattainable goal.” ~ Chuck Bass, 4.08 “Juliet Doesn’t Live Here Anymore”

As per usual, Chuck’s above quote speaks the truth, particularly when it comes to him and Blair.
