It was very sunny that day. I'd just gotten back from the real world and I was heading to go home. There was a slight breeze and birds were happily chirping in trees. Walking along that dirt path made me feel at peace, made me feel... happy.
Suddenly, I heard a commotion up ahead. I walked slowly, kicking small stones along the way. A young boy came into view, running along the dirt path about twenty feet ahead of me. He was clutching a small brown sack and some coins. Anger and sadness clouded his face. One clear tear ran along his cheek. His spiked silver hair bounced on his head as he ran. Soon he was a few feet in front of me. I stepped to the side but whispered
"You okay?" As he ran by.
He kept running for a few meer feet, then stopped abruptly.
"I'm fine. What do u want?" He mumbled, his face looked very dark and lonley. I looked at the ground and played with a rock with my foot.
"I don't want anything. I just wanted to know if u were alright. I'm Jet, what's your name?" I zei warmly, now looking at his turqoise eyes, smiling.
"Hitsugaya Toshiro." He zei solemnly. He seemed older than he looked.
"Hitsugaya Toshiro... It's a very nice name u have. Say Hitsugaya-kun... would u like this?" I asked quietly, holding up a white chain necklace.
"Why are u giving me it?" He asked, he still spoke with that stern cold voice.
"Who knows? If u can figure out the trick of it, then I'll give u an answer. But, if u can't. Just go ahead and keep it." I answered cheerfully, tossing him the necklace.
He caught it then started to look at it carefully, examining it so seriouslly. His eyes showed that he was not your average kid. He was smart, talented... not perhaps that's not the right word. He's gifted.
"What kind of trick is it?" He asked, with meer chidness. It seemed he really wanted to find out. I had a feeling... that he would find out, sooner of later.
"A convenient one." I zei while smiling. I turned in the opposite dirction of Hitsugaya-kun and started walking into town slowly.
"Huh." I could hear him mutter then turn around slowly and start jingling the chain. I chuckled to myself then continued walking.
Don't worry, Toshiro, you'll get it... sooner of later.
