She is very close to being my absolute favorite lieutenant.
I preferred Gin as a captain than a lieutenant.

Momo is strong but she would be a way better lieutenant than Gin would ever be.

Hinamori is very skilled, yet so underrated by most bleach fans.
Great kido skills, courage and plus you don't get the lieutenant seat just because of your pretty face.
It's just that Aizen's departure caused so much psychological damage to the poor.

Just like Wantadog's 1st comment I like gin but more as a captain plus Hinamori in my opinion has the potential of possibly being as strong as a captain if she got a Bankai and not as emotional

Anyone but Momo, but even if that weren't the case, Gin has a very interesting past. A sadistic child, though a black box even at that age.

Gin is definitely more interesting, though I still see potential for the little pin cushion. That aside, I like Gin's zanpakutou more than Hinamori's.

I like Gin as a character, meaning I like all of his 'characters' - him before being a Shinigami, him being an Unseated Shinigami, him as Squad Five Vice-Captain and and him as a Captain, those are just some of the 'characters' Gin has showed. I don't Hinamori much at all - if it wasn't for the way Kubo-san portrayed Hinamori, Toshiro would have that much more of an epic character.
