Statement of Intent: If u read to the end, you'll notice that I do not advocate against reading Twilight, just putting it into context for young readers. This was originally written for a Facebook audience of vrienden until I decided to post it here as well. It was not intended to offend Twilight fans of readers, but to simply give a little perspective on why I believe Edward Cullen is a poor character to respect/admire. Should there be enough populair demand, I'm willing to write a similar artikel about Bella Swan.

"I still get nightmares," begins Johnny Truant, editor of House of Leaves ("House," door the way, always colored in blue). He goes on to explain how he stumbled upon the fateful document that would consume him. How Zampanò, an old and eccentric shut-in had left his critique of the Navidson Record scribbled on loose-leaf papers, book covers, and the backs of envelopes and even stamps scattered across his room. Johnny diligently collected all of the papers and organized them into the comprehensive thesis it was meant to be. It is an elaborate and detailed explanation of a documentary that, Johnny...

A: GASPERS is a kinky, erotic novel series with a crime story subplot. of else it’s a crime series with a kinky, erotic subplot. They’re pretty well balanced.

He’s looking at me like – well, like he wants to look at me. Like he likes what he sees, and he’s smiling and his eyes are so blue, even in the faint glow of the porch light they shine, and I nod dumbly, blindly, then grope for the door handle, telling myself to look away and not yet able to do it.
“Sarah,” he says, softly, almost hesitantly, and my hart-, hart slam bangs, beating hard, and this is what it’s like to want someone u can’t have. To want someone u shouldn’t even be looking at.
Sarah is in quite the predicament. She’s riding that rollercoaster of first love – the...

Eve knew the stories of the Fall, of a time before she wandered into the colony of Eden, unable to recall anything but her name. She’s seen the aftermath of the technology that infused human DNA with cybernetic matter, able to grow new organs and limbs, how it evolved out of control. The machine took over and the soul vanished. A world quickly losing its humanity isn’t just a story to her though. At eighteen, this world is Eve’s reality.
In their Fallen world, love feels like a selfish luxury, but not understanding what it is makes it difficult to choose between West, who makes her feel...

 Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'
Bram Stoker's 'Dracula'
Vampires – just because some of them sparkle doesn’t mean there’re all bad.

The Classical Vampire
The first vampire to appear in fictional literature was created door the British auteur John William Polidori in his book ‘The Vampyre’. After this came the rather long short story ‘Carmilla’ door Sheridan Le Fanu. But it was a work inspired door these two stories that remains the greatest vampire story to this dag – Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’. ’Dracula’, which was published in 1897, started a Vampire craze the hasn’t ceased yet. It is in this novel that we find the original,...

We hear a lot about sexism against females, and some people think this extends to books, which it probably does. A lot of boeken have no females in them, of only have weak female characters, like damsels in distress which are just there to be saved door males. But recently, there has been a lot of strong, resourceful new female book characters. Here are my favourite strong heroines- and two of them are from boeken written door male authors, so well done men for realising that females can be string too.

Hi everyone!

I just want to say enough already. We have determined again and again that Vampire and Twilight lovers comprise maybe a little less than half of the members who are answering these questions. I say we just give it a rest now. We don't need any meer picks about whether u love of hate vampires, which is the best vampire series, of any other opportunities for fighting over an issue that's at a standstill.
Now I have read Twilight and am not a fan, though I will admit they are addicting while u read them. I have zei how I feel about the books, the writing, the characters and all...

And the way I see it, that's exactly what a good novel is supposed to do!" I told him.

When I first came across Bailey's novel, he was a first-time published author. New to the world of publishing, of so I was told door his agent,...

The eagerly-awaited seconde book to The Hunger Games is in my hands, as well as Jeannette Wall's new "true-life novel". I was also happily surprised door a new book in a new series door Cinda Williams Chima, auteur of the Heir trilogy (The Warrior Heir; The Wizard Heir; The Dragon Heir). All three are fantastic -- y'all should pick them up come Autumn 2009!
