It's hard to say I LIKE it, because I actually find it tough to watch. It's too real...too raw. But that's also what I admire about it. I think it's the closest anyone's ever come in TV or film to capturing what it really feels like when the worst thing you can imagine actually happens. I find it deeply powerful and admire Joss immensely for his ability to draw on his own personal pain in bringing it to the screen.

It's cinematographic genius. One of the brilliant ideas about it is the complete, total and utter lack of a soundtrack. The silence speaks volumes where other directors would have chosen "mood music." Buffy's brief dream that her mother survived goes so quickly, it's much like several of the "what-if" scenario thoughts that run marathons through people's minds when tragedy strikes.

Anya's speech in it is also one of the most touching speeches in the whole series.

The acting is superb, the writing is excellent, and the shots-- the angles, and the way the show is cut together... It's gold.

I think Conders said it all. There is nothing worng with this episode. Everything and everyone does their job superb. But for me its Anyas speech. Its heart breaking and what it stands for shows that Buffy (as a show) was much more then relationship debates and vampires.

It may be sad, but the way it is shown, with the great job the actors did made this episode really amazing.

It shows a more human side and that she still needs to be looked after in some way
