My dad used to read them when he was younger and he made sure to pass the love onto me. When I was little he'd always put me on his lap and read some of the strips to me of lend me his C&H book. It brings back so many great memories... :)

My friend introduced me to it. He was talking about it a lot a long time ago, but I never did decide to look out for it. Until once, he had this book market special thing at my school and I found the Calvin and Hobbes Sunday Pages 1985-1995 book there (a 2001 tribute book to C & H). Anyway, I loved it, but even then, I had no idea how awesome it was. But now, I read the Complete Calvin and Hobbes, so I fully understand its ultimate awesomeness!

door reading my dad's set of C&H boeken many years ago! Once I'd read the first couple of strips, I couldn't stop. :) I wound up getting the rest of the boeken when I saw them for sale via a school book sale.

When my dad was a young adult, he would always read them. A few years ago, I always pondered upon a book in the bookshelf with a small, blonde boy and a tiger peeking out through all the other boeken in the shelf. One day, I was reading the Sunday comics and in there was Calvin and Hobbes! I started to read them, then I asked my das if I could read the comics out of the book ;)

My dad brought home pagina a box of items from an auction and one of the boeken was Homicidal Psycho Jungle Cat. I read the first story where Hobbes tricks Calvin door writing him the letters. I immediately got hooked, and since I wore out my original copy I had to get another one. I'm really glad I discovered it :)
