He orders Hiryu to kill his friend, Cain, with the threat of a massacre in a Mongolian village if he refused (of course Hiryu never kills Cain. however in the manga, Cain kills Sheena in a brainwashed state), in the manga he ordered Striders Arana and Kubira to murder Hiryu and Cain, In the NES game, he has this samurai-type dude called Dragon Fiend kill anyone who approaches Kuramoto's residence, he's also worse in this version when he murders Cain & Sheena, in both the NES and Manga he'd known about the Zain project for three years, suggesting it was him who staged the brainwashing of Hiryu's older sister Mariya by the ZAIN Project two years before the story started, resulting in her MURDERING TEN STRIDER TRAINEES in that state, forcing hiryu to kill her, thus it caused Matic to Stride over the MORAL EVENT HORIZON).
He secretly wanted control of both Enterprise/The Syndicate and The Striders to accomplish his desire of world domination, with Striders Hiryu and Cain killed as scapegoats in Kuramoto's death(Luckily the old man escaped that fate in the manga), lastly in the manga, when Kuramoto retakes control of the Striders, Matic refused to surrender and threatened everyone with a bomb.
