In the 1700's a witch door the name of Melinda Warren had three powers the ability to verplaats objects with her mind, see the future, and freeze time it was always known that in the future three sisters would recieve her powers and become the most strongest witches of all the power of three. Six monthes after there grandmothers death three sisters door the name of Prue, Piper, and Phoebe reunite during a time when several women were being mysteriously killed. door the guidence of the family's spirit board Phoebe goes to the attic and discovers a book known as "The Book of Shadows" then starts reading aloud:

"Hear now the words of the witches,

The secrets we hid in the night,

The oldest of Gods are invoked here,

The great work of Magic is sought

In this night and in this hour,

We call upon the Ancient Power

Bring your powers to we sisters three!

We want the power!

Give us the power!"

door saying the spell it gave each of the sisters one of Melina's powers it's not until the volgende dag that they realize things have changed. While having a night on the town with her then boyfriend Jeremy Piper learns that he was the one who had been killing all of the women in town. Jeremy then reveals that they weren't just women but witches and that it has been his goal the whole time they were in a relationship that he was waiting for Phoebe to return so he can kill them once and for all. Piper is then able to freeze Jeremy long enough to escape once she's home pagina they say a spell to destroy Jeremy but Phoebe has a vision and he is still alive and coming to the manor. When the sisters are cornered in the attic they remembered what was written on there spirit board "The Power of Three Will Set us Free" after repeating the phrase over and over Jeremy gets officially vanquished.

After three years of staying strong together a demon door the name of Shax kills Prue making both Piper and Phoebe believe that it's the end of the Power of Three. It was later revealed that Patty their mother had a daughter with her whitelighter Sam because of the rules they were forced to give her up to keep her safe. The demon that killed Prue then plans to destroy their half sister Paige. Once Paige receives her powers the Power of Three is resurrected and able to kill Shax once and for all.

Over the volgende five years we saw many sides of the sisters from Phoebe becoming the Queen of all Evil, Paige turning into a Bat, and even Piper turning into a Fury. In the end it came down to fighting to powerful sisters Billie and Christy against The Power of Three because both sides got some of the Hollow neither were able to win. Once Billie realizes her sister had only been using her for her powers to become evil Billie chose to side with the Charmed Ones and vanquish her sister to save the world from turning evil.
