I know he does knock Drake down his staircase but that's pretty much all he really does. The entire time he's in the movie he constantly has to be saved and depend on Rocko. Here are the times he's been in distress.

1.When Drake throws him to the leopard-seal
2.He gets captured by humans
3.Has to depend on Rocko to escape
4.Can't get back to the North Pole without Rocko's help
5.Rocko has to warn him not to leave when they have a fight because there was a killer-whale
6.Rocko warns him not to go into the dangerous undersea cave but goes in anyway and runs into a leopard-seal
7.He drops his pebble and goes after it, where the leopard-seal was waiting for him
8.He gets eaten by the leopard-seal and has to be saved by Rocko
9.He has to have Rocko's help to get past the killer-whales
10.When they the evil fortress falls apart, he has to be saved by Rocko

Marina would be better off saving herself because Hubbie is an even bigger damsel in distress than she is. If I were here, I'd consider getting herself a new hero.

It's been a long time since I've seen the movie, but from what I remember of it he was.

He's not a damsel.

He's a dude in distress.

Well, there's not a male term for it so damsel is the best we've got, either that or dumbass in distress.
