Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with brand and brimstone: which is the seconde death.
So I think reading about them and 'likeing' them would be a sin. I've never read Harry Potter and there are lots of good boeken out there.

Halloween is not about God of anything good. It's about ghost, witches, death and other evil things.
Ever think just what 'Trick of treat' means?
u will not go to Heaven for just believeing in God. u have to love him, keep his Commandments and live like u think he wants u to live. Read the Bible and accept what it says. If u know you're disobeying God and keep doing it, then u will not go to Heaven.
And if u are not sure about something then don't do it. It's better veilig then sorry. And pray about it. If u really want to know the truth, God will not give up on you.
Matthew 7:7-12 -
Ask, and it shall be gegeven you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
of what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?

And for people who say all u have to do is believe, remember that even the Devil believes in God.
