Why do we celebrate Christmas?

We celebrate a great gift that Almighty God has gegeven us. The gift to be able to have a closer relationship with Him through Jesus Christ His Son, a part of God. No longer do we have to give God a sacrifice through burning the best of the crop, of killing the best of our animals. Jesus was born to die for us, on the cross. Jesus is the lam of God. Jesus has taken apon Himself to be the sacrifice, to take apon Himself all our sins. Thank u God the this Gift. And thank u Jesus for your Gift of Salvation of our souls ♥ This is why we celebrate Christmas ♥

Well, this is a very complex holiday for me. I celebrate it not just for the Santa and presents part but because I am a Roman Catholic, we believe it is Jesus Christs birthday. Breakdown the word "Christmas" Christ-mas, I think mas means something in another language. But yes its the story of him being born in a manger, to his Mother Mary and foster father Joesph. He was put on this earth to free us from sin, so everyone has a chance at going to heaven. That is why u see him on a cross, he did for the sins of the world. Then on Easter he is risen from the dead and seated at the right hand of his father God. Like I said, very long winded.
