well i'd be surprised if anyone doesn't put this because Shakespeare has to be the greatist author of all time... although, you can't really count him as an author, as he's more of a playwrite... so my favourite author would have to be Jane Austen.

I love all the Bronte sisters novels- they're just so exciting and totally believable. The books get quite hard sometimes, but you just feel better for perservering when you finally the book. Bronte sisters for ever!!!

Charles Dickens was kind of first love. I read extract from Great Expectations as a kid and promised myself that would be the first classic I'll read. And believe it or not...........it was my first because it was part of our syllabus during senior years. Loved it so much that I finished all the Dickens novels I could get hold of.
