Soo, I read Twilight in 2005 and seriously thought it was the best thing I'd ever read, and never thought I'd read anything better. How young and stupidly naive I was!
When I first bought it, it was treasured, as were New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn & all the money wasting merchandise I purchased to. But over the past 2 years, I've seen the fan base grow and grow and GROW into something that is just pretty hectic and down right ridiculous.
I personally feel sorry for the cast, especially Robert Pattinson. Poor guy, can't even walk out his front door without being mobbed. There's such thing as personal space, crazy obsessed Twilighter's (not saying your all like this, because that would be incorrect.)
But seriously, all this hype over a book? Yeah, it's great and all but people really need to understand that going completely over the top, boven about it and hysterically shrieking in the cinema when Taylor Lautner comes on topless (which, may I add was a total waste of £5.95 as I couldn't hear the film!) is just irratating.
And for these reasons right here, these are why I spent a good few hours un-Twilighting my room. All the posters taken down, boeken packed away into my cupboard, and all the merchandise too. I guess i've just realised how ridiculous I myself have been being a schapen the past few years.
So yeah :) As the titel says; Bye Twilight. It was fun while it lasted.

I came across the site 'My life is average' (link) where people send in random quotes such as 'Today, my friend and I bought cake mix at the store. The cashier jokingly told us to bring him back some cake. We did. MLIA."
I curiously searched Edward Cullen and some pretty much hilarious results came up!
"Today, my 12-year-old Twilight obsessed little sister told me she wanted a life sized picture of Edward Cullen to put up on her wall. Since she's always telling me how much better Twilight is than Harry Potter, I decided to get her a life sized picture of Cedric Diggory instead. MLIA"
Not the funniest one there, but i've seen some that have made me literally crease. I would recommend looking some up if u want a good laugh and hate the hype surrounding Twilight! :)

I used to be a die-hard Twilight fan. (see my username. Damn I wish I'd chosen ANYTHING else sometimes.)
I still like the book in small doses now, and I even write fanfiction for it, but now I've looked critically at SMeyer's characters, and I think I realize what people are talking about when they say Bella zwaan-, zwaan is a Mary Sue.
As a person who has seen it from both sides, I'd like to say that maybe Twilight fans didn't see Bella like that to begin with because she has so many "flaws".
I'm not really a mega-supporter of Bella's neediness. And I even, admittedly, wonder why she took Edward back after New Moon. Normal people with lives and better things to do would say, "Hell no am I taking u back. u left me crying in a forest, and u think I'll just come running back to you? u wanna commit suicide, go right ahead while I get the popcorn."
I still like Twilight. But maybe Bella zwaan-, zwaan was kind of 2-Dimensional.
