Pattinson says may be too old to return to "Twilight"

British actor Robert Pattinson zei on Friday he may be too old to reprise his role as the ever-youthful vampire Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" movies, should auteur Stephenie Meyer decide to add another novel to the series.

Of course he'd be too old. He was already four years older than his character when he started. He's now eight years older. He can't be expected to successfully portray a 17 year old boy for too long. The other actors would probably look too old as well.

Comparing his situation to Daniel Radcliffe and Harry Potter is ridiculous. Daniel ages along with Harry. Mind you, a little bit faster, but he had a lot of leeway. Robert started out using up quite a bit of his wiggle room.
