The moon was high in the sky, shining like a florescent light. It was my only friend in this prison, and i couldn't sleep. I was in the middle of a sentence as i was talking with the moon when i heard something from down stairs. I caught door breath, finally excitement. I swung my legs across the side of the bad and ever so slowly got up. The bed creaked, I swore silently, and listened. Nothing stirred. I tiptoed passed Amanda's bed.
