I walked into the cemetery with a bouquet of flowers. I remembered the details as if it were a few days geleden even though it had been a year.

My ex boyfriend had been driving to tedeschis to get some sandwiches before picking me up to go to the park for a picnic. A driver driving an SUV had been drinking, swerved off the side of the road and hit him. He was rescued door paramedics only to arrive at the hospital and be announced officially dead. I remembered the tearful phone call from Jill who was our friend. I remembered the wake, the funeral and the burial. But most importantly I remember promising myself never to love again.

I laid the flowers on his grave. Today would have been our 2 jaar anniversary. I lost it right there and began bawling my eyes out. Suddenly I felt arms inpakken, wrap around me from behind and someone's chin on my shoulder. This person smelled of Marlboro lights and aftershave which smelled kinda nice.

I stopped crying and turned around expecting it to be a crazy person. My eyes widened at who it was. In the flesh it was me and my boyfriends idol, David Bowie. He was wearing a white button up shirt, green kaki and black shoes. His hair hung in his eyes but I could see his mismatched eyes looking at me with sympathy, sadness and.....love?

    "Y/N, I'm so sorry...."

"wait how do u know my name?"

"I was there I was the man in the dark suit with sunglasses at the funeral,"

    I thought for a minute.

    "that was you?"

"yes I knew your boyfriends father. He was a roadie for the serious moonlight tour before he retired. He's told me about him/her and I'm very sorry he passed away,"

    "how'd u know I was with him?"

" I could guess," David gave me a sad smile.

    "thank u for being there."

"no problem Y/N," and reached out to stroke my cheek.

A weird sensation started. My hart-, hart was fluttering, my stomach felt like it was full of butterflies and I didn't want him to stop.

I leaned into his touch a few minuten before he pulled away.

"Y/N, kom bij me for lunch, love?" asked David Bowie looking like he was desperately waiting for me to say yes.

"yeah I would, thank you," I zei smiling a bit meer now.

we made our way out of the cemetery, his arm around me giving me the will power to move.

We went into a cafe like place that was not too fancy but not too cheap looking. I had ordered a ham and Swiss belegd broodje, sandwich while David ordered an antipasto salad. We talked about our interests, our lives, his music....everything. I was getting meer and meer intrigued door this attractive handsome rockstar. He was aging but still very handsome and age is only a number. After we ate, I started to say thank u and head home pagina but David stopped me.
"wait Y/N do u want my number so maybe we can....talk?" He asked looking shy.

"I'd love that, thank u very much," I zei smiling I made a new contact and typed his number into my iPhone and he did the same with my number.

"See u around," I zei blushing.

"see u around y/n love," zei David blushing a bit too.

I went back home pagina feeling a little weightless but a little guilty that I was starting to fall in love with David Bowie.

the volgende dag david and me were walking in the park and just chatting about stuff in general.

"Ever since my boyfriend died I stopped believing in a life after death. Since there's no scientific proof that god and satan exist why should we believe what a book not even written in Jesus' time says. If there were an afterlife the dead would have come back to us to visit. They would have told what it's like to die,"

"I agree y/n, I believe in the same idea,"

David looked at me as if I were the only person at the park.

"what?" I started to feel the fluttering in my chest again.

"nothing love, you're just so beautiful, so young and despite u being so young I feel as if we were made for each other," whispered David.

"I feel the same way too, David," I whispered back.

David leaned in and kissed me passionately. I had promised never to love again but that promise became broken as I let his tongue enter my mouth. I kissed back and he held me closer to him and put his arms around my waist.

We broke the kiss panting slightly.

"I love you, y/n. Please be mine forever," zei David's voice filled with love and desire.

"I love u too David," I zei feeling the heavy weight that had formed when my ex boyfriend died fall to the ground as I zei those words.

David pulled me into a loving embrace. He was the love of my life now and most importantly my hero.

“Little Bombardier;” is the tragic tale of the termination of a retired soldier’s innocent friendship with a pair of young children due to the cynicism of those in authority. Regardless the ties to Bowie’s own life, and the messages it holds in that aspect, it is applicable to almost any situation of ultra-cynicism and suspicion. Bowie ridicules the distrustful nature of most people today – a nature transferred upon people through the medium of the tabloids and general press, and the constant depravation and corruption which is constantly lambasted and emphasised door these mediums....

“We Are Hungry Men;” Is an amusing look at the idea of the world over-populating, and the nature of those who make to bring this message of impending doom to the general population. It explores the idea that those who are pushing the message of over-population are selfish and “not your friends,” as they attempt to do anything they can to continue their own personal existences, regardless of what others may want.
The track explores the idea of a lack of political conscience, and the full egos of those in control who are shocked when their message of ‘salvation’ is not taken well....

“Did u Ever Have a Dream;” Is a jaunty snapshot of the other-worldly brilliance of dreams, which we tend to take for granted. “I will travel round the world one night, on the magic wings of astral flight,” is but one of the lines from this song which attempts to point out the obvious; dreams are “A very special knowledge,” and they’re something which is totally ethereal. People tend to accept dreams for what they are: commonplace. Certainly, some people lay great stock door their dreams and others will gleefully tell u of their imaginary night-time exploits, but the general...

“Sell Me A Coat;” Shares elements of “Uncle Arthur,” as it gives a clear picture of Bowie’s purest voice, however the general tone and subject of the song is globaal, algemene meer sombre thanks to the introduction of a slower rhythm and dejected plaint from Bowie.
Introduced door the slow, sure intonation of “La la la la la,” “Sell Me A Coat” creates a bittersweet picture of Bowie’s loss of his “Summer girl.” Whether physical of purely metaphorical, this story, however peculiarly executed, certainly proved a foundation for some of Bowie’s later work; introducing his tendency to...

“Uncle Arthur;” This buoyant melody, inspired door Bowie’s incredulity and subsequent interest in one of his friend’s confessions that they were not a twenty-year old musician, but a twenty-seven jaar old uncle is equipped with hand-clapping and a sweet, honest delivery door Bowie. With a touch of pointed mirth, this song proves itself a simple, catchy tune which seems to be laughing at Bowie’s own aspirations to fame. With a simple chord structure and range, its feel-good aura is contagiously fun. Personally, I immediately took a liking to the openness of Bowie’s voice in this song,...
