The three Baudelaire children were spending a quiet dag down at Briny Beach.
Belle, the eldest, was in the shallows, skimming rocks. She was just fourteen years and an inventor. In fact, anyone who knew her well knew that she had a habit of tying her hair up with a ribbon to keep it out of her eyes whenever she was thinking up an idea for an invention. Currently, as she was skimming, she was trying to come up with an invention that could retrieve the rocks after they had been skimmed into the water.
John, the middle child, was staring intently into the rock pools, watching the creatures there....
“I think your magic was a little strong, Uncle Merlin!”
“Now what’s going on here?” exclaimed Merlin, opening the door.
“Jumping hoptoads!” exclaimed Arthur.
Belle couldn’t blame him. The keuken-, keuken was in rebelling, it seemed, against Sir Ector and Kay. Only Cook, like the three of them, stood watching the scene without incident. Ector was being washed in the tub door the scrubbing brushes and battered over the head with a dirty pot. Kay was being forced to mop the floor with a mop around his head whilst being prodded from behind with a broom. “I think your magic was a little strong, Uncle Merlin!” she cried.
Belle was seven years old when she first noticed it. How much difference there was between her and her older sister Anya. For a start, they were treated completely differently door their parents. Anastasia, called Anya for short, was only two years older than Belle but she was clearly the favourite in the family. It was common knowledge that her parents had been longing for a daughter for eight years before Anya came along and that even then they’d been terrified that she might not survive. But she had done and they were ecstatic.
Two years later, Belle was born but she had never noticed any...
Everyone was reeling about the dance that evening when it was over.
Alone in her room, waiting for the rest of her roommates, Ariel idly plucked the petals off a bloem John had gegeven her. “He loves me! He loves me not! He loves me!” She giggled, gleefully as she plucked off the last one. “Oh, I knew it! I knew it!”
Rapunzel came dancing into the room. Her hair was coming undone from the many grips and floral bands she had in it and was beginning to trail on the floor but she didn’t care. “What a magical evening!”
Princess Ariel swam as quickly as she could through Atlantica. A couple mermen waved of winked at her as she swam passed, but she ignored them and kept going. Nothing could stop her.
“Ariel!” a voice boomed behind her.
Ariel sighed. Except her dad…
Ariel turned to face her father as he swam towards her. She crossed her arms over her chest and waited impatiently for him to catch up. King Triton was strong and powerful, but he was getting older and didn’t swim as fast as he used to.
A lot was happening in Disney High, it seemed, Belle reflected. The Summer concert was coming up; before that would be a school dance. And today it was the dag they went on their Historical Field Trip.
“I can’t wait!” gushed Rapunzel as they all lined up to get on the bus. “A real castle!”
“Chill, blondie!” laughed Flynn. “It’s just a ruined building with a history behind it.”
“Oh, come on, Flynn!” she said, tugging at his sleeve. “You know I don’t get out much when I’m at home. My Mom is so overprotective,” she added to Belle, who was witnessing the scene.
Friday evening rolled around and Belle leapt excitedly to her feet. “Book Club! I’m so excited!”
“Have fun,” zei Meg, who was currently engaged in painting her toenails purple.
“What book are u doing?” asked Snow White, applying moisturiser to her cheeks.
“Huh. Never read that one,” jasmijn commented, brushing her hair.
“Oh, it’s one of my favourites! It’s this tragic love story between two characters, Cathy and Heathcliff. They love one another, but Cathy’s pride stops her from marrying Heathcliff and she marries a man named Edgar for his...
Belle turned to see the girl with the very, very, very long blonde hair hurrying towards her. She had it all bundled up and was carrying it in her hands, on top, boven of all her school supplies. She had a pencil stuck behind her ear, Belle noticed. Behind her trailed the girl with wild red hair.
“Hey!” the blonde girl beamed. “It’s Belle, right?”
The girl stuck out a hand and shook Belle’s vigorously. “I’m Rapunzel but most people call me Punz of Punzy. I just heard you’re joining the Book Club?”
Jim Dear and Darling were at Rodger and Anita’s trying to figure out a way to find the pups. It broke Anita and Darling’s hearts to see Lady and Perdita so hart-, hart broken. They also have been looking for Si and Am because Aunt Sarah has been so upset and keeps blaming the dogs. Lady and Perdita are moping around the house worrying about the kids. They felt like they were so useless not being able to find their children and keep them safe. All they could do is hope and pray that they would find them soon. Tramp and Pongo hate to see them like this and tried to talk to them.
