Cinderella dipped her feet in the stream. The cool water felt nice over her warm feet. Near door Milo stretched his arms and legs. "Feels good to get out of the carriage huh?" asked Cinderella.
Milo breathed deeply. "Yes. Mmmm. This country really is beautiful isn't it?"
Cinderella looked around at the scenery. "Yes it is. I could stay here forever." Cinderella leaned back on her elbows and let the water flow over her feet.
"Forever?" asked Milo.
"Well maybe not forever as it is, but if we build a house. A garden. It would be so.. so.. peaceful." Cinderella thought about what it would be like.
"More peaceful than the city, right?" Milo asked sitting down beside her.
"The city isn't peaceful. Its.. noisy and full of people." She sighed and swished her toes back and forth.
"I know u want a meer quiet country life but right now we have to go to the city. I have that new job there and Jim needs a good school." Milo grabbed Cinderellas hands and looked at her. "I promise, give it a couple years and we will have enough money to verplaats to the country and maybe.. open an inn. of whatever u want. hallo what good is your cousin if he can't do what he promises." Cinderella smiled.
"I'll hold u to your promise." She said. She kicked her foot out of the water and splashed Milo.
"Hey!" Milo cried. He cupped his hands full of water and splashed her back. Soon both of them were in the stream kicking and splashing. When both of them were thoroughly soaked and aching with laughter they sat back on the bank.
"Ah, that was fun." Laughed Cinderella. She looked around suddenly aware. "Wait. Where's Jim?"
Milo looked around. "Huh, I don't know." Milo was barley finished his sentence when he was tackled into the stream. Kicking and flailing Milo sputtered in the stream. Jim laughed volgende to him hip deep in the stream. Cinderella couldn't help herself, she laughed along with Jim and soon Milo to was laughing too.

Amalthea sat door the lake watching the moon rise. Today was the last dag they would be human during the dag and night for sometime.
"Once a month." She zei softly to herself. Once a maand the curse allowed them to be human for meer than their normal night.
"Malta, what's wrong?" asked a girl with long soft blonde hair. She came over and sat down beside her. She ran her fingers through the water and waited patiently for Amalthea to speak.
"We never going to leave this place are we?"
"Amalthea of course we will." zei the blonde girl.
"Odette, how do u know? We've been her for years. If we were every going to escape don't u think we would have door now?" Odette thought quietly for a moment.
"Things will change. We just have to have hope and "
Amalthea cut in "And wait for what? True love? meer girls to fall into his trap?" She exhaled a heavy sigh and continued "I don't think I have any hope left. I don't see a change that will make any of this better. I don't see how this could possibly end with us being free."
Odette leaned over and hugged her friend's shoulders. She didn't know what she could say to cheer her up. She didn't dare say that she felt the same way. One of them needed to keep the faith and continue hoping. That's all they had left.
