I love Merida for her willingness to go against her culture's customs in order to do what she feels is right. Her skill at archery is amazing, and her fearlessness and recklessness puts a smile on my face. She develops very well, growing from an irresponsible child to a meer mature young woman. I love her relationship with Elinor, and how they slowly grow to start listening to one another. I absolutely adore adore adore that she admits to her mistakes and does everything she can to correct them. door the end of the film she is much meer mature than most people give her credit for.

I love how she stands out from most of the other princesses door not singing (unless u count her singing in Noble Maiden Fair, but she was just a child at that point), end up single and being made door Pixar
I love the relationship between her and her mother and how it develops in the movie, they probably have the best family relationship in a DP Movie
I love how Merida develops in the movie, she goes from being a rebellion into being meer mature
I love that she isn't very princesslike and that she doesn't want to be a princess, instead she longs for freedom and loves archery
I love how Merida shows in the beginning how uncomfortable she feels in her princess dress and later shows how she wants to look door pulling out a stray of hair from the headthing she wears, than she shows when the princes are arriving that she just wants to disappear and hides, basically she isn't afraid to toon how she feels
I also love how fearless she is, it's only when Mordu comes that she's afraid, but at that point I understand her since Mordu is creepy looking

Merida stands out because instead of dancing, singing, playing with animals, and reading, she does archery. A huge step up for the Disney Princess franchise. Merida seemed to love this sport since she was small and the way she refuses "princess" behavior makes us think "You don't need to be perfect". Merida is also a step up on body shape. She is not as skinny as the other Princesses. Pixar did a wonderful job on Merida and I hope to see meer Pixar princesses in the future.

I love that she had the courage to stand up for her rights and go against the defined role of a princess. I love that she neither denied her rights nor left her home pagina and family to justify her need. She stood her grounds and made them see her perspective. It takes a lot of conviction in yourself for that. I love that there's a princess who's shown to be wrong in her approach. A real human makes mistakes, the point is always to be able to look past them and correct them in due course. I love her journey from being an irresponsible, whiny teenage to a mature, practical woman who accepted the consequences of her mistakes as well as corrected them. I love how strong willed she is, resourceful and intelligent. And her relationship with Elinor is beautiful in every sense, it grows so much during the movie and is endearing to watch.

I appreciate Merida's love for archery and her delight in fresh air and the outdoors. However, I don't admire of relate to Merida much beyond these very basic characteristics.

-Merida is unique and different. She's the new kind of princess between those "mainstream" princesses. When the other princesses prefer to sing and dance, she instead choose to do sports and physical activities. She has an awesome skills in archery. She also has a lot spirit of adventure.
-She is determined, outspoken, and brave, she don't afraid to speak what she want, even with her mother. She refuses to be ruled door anyone and do anything that she doesn't want to and want to decides her life door herself.
-She showed us that a princess isn't always have to be perfect. She brokes the mainstream stereotypes of a princess. She don't care with royal life and some princess stuffs that makes her uncomfortable with it, all that she want is to be herself.
-She is one of the princess that have the best character development, besides Mulan. This rebellious and irresponsible princess finally learns to grow up and became meer responsible and mature door realized all of her mistakes. I love her relationship with Elinor, started from stubborn daughter and strict mother, and going to listen and understand with each other, and finally they both going to be better.
-She is also selfless, although it was only showed near of the end of her movie. She tried to save her mother, through she can't, but she is still try. She is also loyal to her family

Honestly she's one of my favorites. I really like her for her strong will. I also really love how she didn't see marriage as her happy ending. As someone who doesn't really desire marriage it's cool to see a Disney princess who is the same way.
