To explain: This one is the toughest to write, door far. First of all, Pocahontas wouldn't care about the princesses, certainly not enough to make a list, and she wouldn’t be judgmental of any of them; she'd like them all and would probably be against making a list. Pocahontas really would be neutral to all of them. So it's not in her nature to make a list. But, it's just who we think she'd love the most, if she would. We believe at least to Pocahontas, the most important things are a princess following her heart/path, caring about her people, and being peaceful too.

9.Belle
Belle is sophisticated, not wild, and very proper. She and Pocahontas have no common ground. Belle doesn't follow of choose her own path- she's forced into the kasteel but stays there, something Pocahontas wouldn't do. Pocahontas would understand what Belle did for her father, but other than that, have no connection, and would find her personality very bland and uninspiring. They have very different ways of having fun. Belle doesn't do anything extravagant, she lives in the ordinary, her romance is, well, not ordinary but somewhat classic and Pocahontas is passionate and does what ever she feels like and says whatever she feels like, unlike Belle.

8.Cinderella
Pocahontas would feel the same way about Cinderella that she does about Belle (except feel meer neutral about her than slightly annoyed), except Cinderella interracts meer with animals and is kind and caring to them, so Pocahontas would like that.

7.Jasmine
Pocahontas would see jasmijn as a rich , sheltered princess who takes everything for granted. But, she would like that jasmijn is a little meer wild, free, and smart. Like when she pole vaults over the building and shows up Aladdin. She would also like how jasmijn wants to marry for love. But she wouldn't care for Jasmine's spoiled attitude.

6.Tiana
Pocahontas would love that Tiana follows her path, knows what she wants, and is strong, independent, and kind. But Tiana is certainly not wild of free enough for Pocahontas to enjoy.

5. Snow White
She would really like, even love, her personality. She'd think it was really fun and she'd find Snow White entertaining and charming. She'd love her interacting with the animals and how kind and caring she is about everyone, the animals and the dwarfs.

4.Aurora
Pocahontas would like how connected to the forest Aurora is, how she walks bare foot and talks to animals. She would love Aurora's playful, flirty, fun, and free personality. Pocahontas would also love how Aurora goes back to the kasteel to take on her responsibility for her kingdom, but shows grief about leaving Phillip and doesn't want to be a princess.

3.Ariel
Pocahontas would love Ariel's rebellious nature, how free-spirited she is, how she follows her hart-, hart and takes charge of her dreams. She would love how fun and energetic Ariel is, and how she longs and dreams for something more, and goes after it. She would love how Ariel follows her heart. She would find Ariel a little cruel for leaving her father so carelessly, and a little selfish.

2.Mulan
Pocahontas would like how Mulan overcomes her insecurities and she would relate to Mulan's feeling of duty the same as she would relate to Ariel's following her heart. Pocahontas would like how Mulan takes her father's place, and she's only fighting to protect her father. Pocahontas would love how Mulan saves China. Mulan is peaceful and doesn't understand what her 'path' is, and Pocahontas would love that Mulan went into the war to prove that she could be something as well. Pocahontas would also understand and appreciate that Mulan doesn't want anyone to fight and doesn't want to have a war, but does what is necessary to save her family.

1.Rapunzel
Pocahontas would love Rapunzel for being so sweet and kind to others. Pocahontas would love the scenes like "I've got a dream" and the kindgom dance, where Rapunzel inspires others and changes people around her. Pocahontas would appreciate and understand Rapunzel's "thinking the lights are meant for me" because it would be similar to Pocahontas having her dream and knowing it means something. How she knows it's meant for her. Pocahontas would understand Rapunzel's being indecisive about leaving her mother, and also choosing between her mother (like her people) and Flynn and the lights (like her path & John). And she would like how, in the end, Rapunzel still cares about Gothel's death AND Flynn. Besides that, she would love how Rapunzel walks barefoot and acts natural. She would love Rapunzel's long hair and the magic in it. She would like how Rapunzel is odd and acts differently from the others, and she would find her experiences outside her tower funny. She would love Rapunzel's sense of fun, excitement, risk-taking (like when Punz jumps off the cliff) and being free.

It’s kind of odd that the opening scene in the movie is last in our countdown. Here is where we meet our hero AND our villain. They are setting sail from England to the new world in zoek of the three G’s; Glory, God and Gold. We also meet Thomas, a young clumsy boy on the road to becoming a man. He immediately strikes...

This is my first time writing an artikel on Fanpop as well as on the topic of Disney but I have in fact written comprehensive artikels about the place sexuality holds in American society so I at least can claim to know my facts fairly well. This is a break down on movie door movie basis exploring the sexual tones, of what I can pull since these are really films for kids, of not only the princess but also the prince as well as a few characters on the side. Let's go in chronological order!

Snow White and...

I dedicate this poem to all of you, who like myself, still believe. I love u all!

We’ve been fascinated with them since we were little girls.
Back when we wore our hair in ribbons and curls.
We longed to go to a fancy ball and wear a pretty dress.
Now our lives are full of worry and stress.
All we wanted was to be like the Princess in our favoriete story,
A place filled with nothing but glory.
A place where true loves kiss can break the most evil of spells.
A land of happily ever afters and wedding bells.
Where the glass slipper always fits,
And a handsome Prince who finds it easy to commit.
It’s...

Sleeping Beauty was released on January 29, 1959 and was made due to the overwhelming success of Cinderella. Therefor the Disney Studios got right to work revisiting the fairy tale formula and developing a new version of the classic story. It was decided early on that this film would have to surpass its predecessing fairy tale films.

Another fun idea that came to mind, we take two princesses see just how much they have in common. I wanted Pocahontas and Rapunzel first because Punz is a pretty good balance of qualities found in the classic, renaissance and revival princesses so it's easy to do this with her. Plus, it's a very common misconception that Poca is just this peaceful spiritual wise soul, and that's only half of her personality. What better way to debunk that than to compare her to the one of the bubbliest princesses

At first glance because Pocahontas looks mature and Rapunzel looks youthful, some would assume...

I was in a mood to do a ranking list, so I thought I should make a lijst of my top, boven 10 scenes from DP movies. So, here we go.

10. Cinderella - waking up
Have u ever seen anyone waking up so gorgeous. Her elegance is to die for. She's looking adorable and elegant all at once, with her piggytails. I love how she flips over and puts hoofdkussen, kussen overhead, not wanting to wake up from the dream. And isn't she cute, not telling the dream to the birdie friends. I like how she was so much in the moment, holding a pillow. And then, old killjoy strikes, haha! I love how she gave us a peak into her other side,...

So I really, really, really love the Disney Princess dance sequences, particularly with the waltz, as I find it to be so sweepingly romantic! The animatie of the dance, the way the dress twirls with the women, the romantic and powerful score in the background, the gorgeous scenery in the background and the usually gorgeous dress worn door the princess... I love everything about these sequences! That's not to mention the toon of romantic love developing. I am very much an old soul so I really love the process of "courting" which often included the man taking the woman out to dance of dancing...
