Disney Princess Article: Which house would the DP's be in?

Yes, my Harry Potter obsession got to me. Here is a lijst of what houses I think the Disney Princesses would be in if they went to Hogwarts. I used link to help me. Princesslullaby and Swanpride commentaar gegeven on this article, so I edited it and I would like to give them credit for changing my mind and helping me.

1.Snow White
Snow White is sweet, caring, kind and optimistic. She never stops believing that something good is going to happen in the end, like her prince coming to rescue her. I decided that with traits like that, Hufflepuff would be the house for her.

2.Aurora
This was a bit hard to do, saying that we see barely anything of Aurora. From her sixteen minuten of screen time, I was able to guess that she is quite sweet. She is also a dreamer and is a bit too trusting. I decided that she would also be in Hufflepuff.

3.Cinderella
Let me get this point across: Cindy works her butt off. Did u see that girl in the morning? Out of bed, sings a musical number, shower, shoes, pull the curtains, feed the chickens, get the tea...wow. I'd still be in bed. Since Hufflepuff is the house for the most hardworking and patient, that would be the one for her.

4.Ariel
Ariel is brave and determined. She gives up her family for the boy she loves, and has her vis buddy drag her across the sea to crash the wedding of the man she loves. Now that is some determination. Knowing that, I decided Ariel would be in Gryffindor.

5.Belle
Belle is calm and loyal. When she loves someone, she never gives up on them and stays faithful to the end. She is also smart(the way she got Gaston out of her house). This was definitely a hard one, but I concluded that Belle would go into Ravenclaw.

6.Jasmine
Oh, yes, this cunning, smart, and witty girl was hard to choose. She fights for what she wants and never lets anything get in her way. She can come up with an answer for Aladdin's foolish attempts to gain her love quick, and thinks fast on her feet. Sure, all the worst wizards go to this house, but I though Ravenclaw was too mediocre for Jasmine. I think she would go to Slytherin.

7.Mulan
She fights in a war. Thinks fast. Runs fast. For goodness sake, she defeated a bunch of buff mass- murders single handedly. She is also cunning and sly, so I put her in Slytherin.

8.Pocahontas
Pocahontas is kind, gentle, and calm, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have brains. Making up a beautiful song right on the spot to get your point across? Awesome. She also runs and throws herself right under an axe to save the man she loves. That puts her straight into Gryffindor.

9.Tiana
Oh-so-hardworking Miss Tiana is very determined and strong. She fights for what she wants and won't back down. She also has a witty side, that makes her very humorous. I decided she belongs in Hufflepuff, because of that hard work.

10.Rapunzel
Rapunzel is a sharp, smart, on-top-things person. She also tends to fall in love very easily, and is quite naive. Even though she is witty, she also is kind and understanding. But she is also very tough and brave underneath the sweetness. So I put her in Ravenclaw

princesslullaby I disagree about Rapunzel- I think she's a Ravenclaw. Sort of a Luna kind of Ravenclaw. Mulan, I think she's a Slytherin- very cunning and resourceful. Slytherins can be brave too. She's certainly not a Gryffindor; they're aggressive, loud, arrogant, and lazy, all things Mulan is not. I don't see how Belle is a ravenclaw- down to her core she's loyal and stubborn, so I think she's a Gryffindor. Cindy only worked hard because she was forced to, but she IS patient, so I'm torn with her. Pocahontas is DEFINITELY a Gryffindor. She is not clever, creative, or witty. I agree about Snow White, Ariel, Jasmine, and Tiana.

hisblueeyes Hmm, I just saw Rapunzel as a Gryffindor because she's brave. Honestly, I really don't think a Slytherin can possibly be as brave as Mulan. Look at Draco. He turned out to be a complete coward, probably would have died if he hadn't been saved by the trio in the final battle. I think Belle is a ravenclaw - if you look closely at the way she interacts with the beast, she comes up with quick, smart answers. I see what you mean about Pocahontas though. I might change that.

princesslullaby Um, on the other hand, look at Snape or Slughorn. You can't just pick one person to be the example of all of Slytherin. Slytherins CAN be brave, absolutely. So can Ravenclaws (look at Luna) or Hufflepuffs (look at Cedric or Tonks). Gryffindors can come up with quick-smart answers too. I think you're looking at surface traits rather then their instinctive traits.

hisblueeyes Maybe I am, but I'm going to stick with what I have.

Swanpride Some of them are easier than others - Snow White for example is a Hufflepuff through and through. But I see neither Aurora nor Cinderella there (I think I will do an article about this on my own at one point, so I spare you the explanation). Mulan and Rapunzel are difficult because they fit in almost every house - Mulan is very intelligent, hardworking, sneaky and brave. And while I agree with you that Rapunzel is mostly a Gryffindor, she is also very much a Ravenclaw in her thirst for knowledge and very Hufflepuff in her loyality.

princesslullaby Oh, okay, still cool, though I still think Belle belongs not in Ravenclaw. But it's the least worrisome to me. :)

Mongoose09 I don't think Mulan would be in Slytherin, really. She does have traits for that house, but I honestly believe that she would be one of those people where her choice is taken into effect & where her choice outweighs her persona. Just look at Harry, he was almost sorted into Slytherin, but desperately pleaded not to - if Mulan researched/knew some background info about the houses (which I'm sure she would) I have a feeling she would choose NOT to be in Slytherin, thereby being sorted into Gryffindor instead. Good article, btw. :)

Maria7Potter ^I totally agree with Mongoose09, I don't think Mulan could ever be in Slytherin... She risked her life to save the ones she loved, and she is brave but she would never do something that could harm the others just to achieve her goal...

cromulanfav I think Belle would be like Hermione-really smart but but still put in Gryffindor. And i can agree with others, I'm not completely sure

madisonsavanna I agree with all of these except for Belle. I think she'd be Gryffindor. She is smart, yes, but I think she's more like Hermione; her Gryffindor qualities outshine her Ravenclaw qualities. I think I'd be a Ravenclaw of Hufflepuff. I've actually always preferred Slytherin over Gryffindor. I agree with princesslullaby on Mulan being Slytherin. Draco was a coward but that doesn't mean all Slytherins are. Like Harry said, Snape was in that house and he was the bravest man he ever knew. It all depends on the person; I hate the bad reputation Slyterhin gets.

milky-way I agree with most of this, though I'm not entirely sure about Belle, Mulan and Aurora. I think Belle could be either Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, she definitely has traits for both. I really have no idea which house would be best for Mulan, I can't really see her in Slytherin though, I think she would hate it. And for some reason I can sort of see Aurora as a Ravenclaw - not as the super-smart type, but the creative, dreamy, imaginative type. But I agree about all the others.

PrincessLoveLO I thought you did an amazing job on this list. I love all things that have to do with Harry Potter, so I thought that the way you combined it with the Disney Princesses was amazing. I do not agree with your placement of Mulan though at all. While Mulan is resourcful and cunning, she strikes me as a Gryffindor, not a Slytherin. I think her counterpart in the Harry Potter universe would be Harry (who, while very nearly a Slytherin, was a Gryffindor). I see the two as similar in that as Harry didn't want to be a Slytherin, I don't think Mulan would want to be one either. I just can't see her being happy there. The Gryffindors of the Potter universe are notorious for doing anything for thier friends, and one can clearly see that Mulan has those character traits as well.
