I'll just come right out with my aantal keer bekeken on this film and say it deserves last place door a long shot. To me, the least amount of care and dedication was put into this film; it's like Disney worked on the bare bones of it and then threw in the rest of the details haphazardly without fleshing anything out. The plot is a snoozefest and has major loopholes, some of the characters are unnecessary, the historical depictions are inaccurate, the romance is half-hearted, and it unfortunately lacks the Disney magic the other princess films have.

I think this movie is really underated, I find it sweet and romantic, if I think of a classic fairytale Disney's Cinderella inmediateley comes to mind. The characters are loveable and the muziek is beautiful. A bit lopsided in its theming, it certainly gives an impact among princess fans and especially girls because of the titel character herself. It's funny without being too flashy and in-your-face like Aladdin, and still manages to be a pretty moving film.

"I really, strongly love this film, it makes me emotional and I think it's very important to women. To be honest, I always pick this one over The Little Mermaid if someone asks me which one I want to watch. "I've always been in love with this movie, probably because Ariel reminds me so much of myself. The muziek in it is so wonderful and catchy and the whole movie is exciting and romantic. Ariel is so headstrong to take a risk to make herself happy, which is something I've always wanted to do. And when she loses her voice, it just reminds me of me because I'm incredibly shy and it's just very relatable to me, to feel like I've lost my voice.
