Okay we've officially finished the countdown so as promised here's the artikel featuring the results! This artikel will not only toon the results, each scene will include my thoughts, the thoughts of the participants, and there will be comparisons to the last time I did this countdown!

Here we go!

10. Merida crying and saying sorry to her mom
Original placement: none (it wasn't in the last countdown)
I've had mixed commentaren about this scene. There were people who zei they thought this scene was sad because Merida thought she lost her mom forever but then other people zei that Merida should have done this a long time ago. While I do agree that Merida should have apologized a long time ago, I honestly cry when Merida is hugging her beer mom and saying that she's sorry and how her mother had always been there for her. I feel like this scene could have been used at least in the middle of the movie instead of near the end.

9. Ariel crying after King Triton destroyed her collection
Original placement: 13
I've had people say that this scene wasn't sad because "it was just stuff" but here's the thing, to Ariel it wasn't just stuff. This was a collection she had been building for who knows how long and her father just flat out destroyed it. If this was something that happened in real life I doubt there would be anyone just shrugging it off. I'm glad this scene was able to make it to the top, boven ten compared to the last time.

8. Cinderella crying because her mother's dress gets ripped up
Original placement: 4
The whole scene, starting from Tremaine getting the stepsisters to tear up the dress, to Cinderella crying in her garden and losing hope just felt like one big rollercoaster of emotions. There's suspicioun when Tremaine says "I never go back on my word", to nervous realization when Tremaine is pointing out Cinderella's wearing Drizella's beads, shock as the sisters tear the dress apart while Cinderella is begging them to stop, and then sadness when Cinderella is standing there, as she looks at her shredded dress. What makes this so much meer sad is-
1. Not only did her vrienden work so hard on getting the dress ready for her while she worked 2. She was so happy when her vrienden surprised her with it
3. the dress belonged to her deceased mother.
I feel like this scene could have been higher up on the list

7. "I see nothing!"
Original placement: 14
This one had mixed commentaren as well; there were people who zei the scene didn't last long enough to be sad, that it was just her feeling sorry for herself, etc. It's pretty clear early on in the movie that her family members don't have too much faith in her when she had to meet the matchmaker; Fa Zhou practically begged the ancestors to help Mulan impress the matchmaker, Fa Li zei she should have prayed to the ancestors for luck, and Grandma got a lucky cricket. Obviously Mulan's family love her very much but if your family was like this about u wouldn't u have self doubt? Mulan even sang a song about how she had to be someone she wasn't so she wouldn't break her family's heart. I'm glad this scene was ranked higher on this list

6. The King and Queen's scene before releasing the lanterns.
Original placement: 7
I've had people say the scene was too short and that we didn't know too much about these characters. What always got me about this scene was u didn't even need to hear the King of Queen say anything to feel sad, u could see it on their faces how much they missed their baby and how worried they were about her. And u have the Queen looking sad but almost looking like she was trying to assure her husband that there was some hope. Nothing could ever compare to the pain of losing a child, especially if that child was missing for so long and there's no sure way of knowing if that child will be found.

5. The village, the rest of the army, and Shang's father dead
Original placement: None (wasn't in the countdown last time)
Once again, mixed comments. There were people who zei it was sad because not only a whole village died but also because Shang lost his father, someone Shang had idolized and clearly loved very much, and then I had commentaren where it was meer shocking than sad. I'd have to say I agree with both! I remember when I was watching this for the first time I was 5 of 6 and I was so surprised that I was seeing the remains of an army and seeing a burned out village with no survivors (in a Disney movie no less!) but then I was so sad to see that Shang's father had died as well. I didn't put this scene in last time because I wasn't so sure if anyone was going to find it sad but then after watching it again before starting this countdown I knew I just had to put it in this countdown

4. The dwarfs crying because of Snow White's death
Original placement: 3
In this countdown and the last one would have a few stemmen throughout the countdown about how it was hard to be sad when it was obvious she was going to come back. However, this is one of those death scenes that will tug at your heartstrings even if we all knew there were going to be a happy ending. This scene was a good length, the organ muziek playing was sad, and the way the characters were animated when they cried was done so well. I don't know why, but when Grumpy starts crying I just lose it.

3. Ariel crying at the pier
Original placement: 5
I remember the last time I did this countdown I had this commentaar where it was Ariel's own fault and that's why it wasn't sad. This time it was the opposite, I had commentaren about how sad it was that she was losing her freedom. Those of u who've seen my commentaren of favoriete princess lijst would know that Ariel isn't exactly my favoriete princess and that I vraag her choice in just selling her soul for a guy she barely knew. However I did feel really sad for Ariel when she was not only losing a guy she loved, she was going to lose her freedom, never see her family and vrienden again, and live forever as an ugly plant in Ursula's cave. If that doesn't make u sad I don't know what to tell you

2. Beast's death
Original placement: 1
This was a really well done death scene, I can't think of any death scene that tops this one (besides number 1 on the lsit) Even though we all knew Beast was going to be okay here's why this scene was so sad:
1. The music, my goodness, the muziek was done so well with this scene
2. "At least I got to see u one last time"
3. That's really Paige O'Hara crying. She was so commited to the role that she made herself cry so intensly that the directors had to ask if she was okay
4. The way Belle was animated as she cried and pleaded him not to die was perfect enough to bring some tears to the viewers' eyes. Like the way she covered her mouth in shock and shook her head.
5. And then we see the last petal falling and the servants are sad because not only is their master dead, they're trapped as enchanted objects forever.

1. Eugene's death
Original placement: 2
I'm going to be honest; I didn't think this scene was going to last long in either countdown. I mean the first words in the movie were literally "This is the story of how I died" so we all knew it was going to be okay. I remember 18 jaar old me was watching this the first time and thinking "Wow, thanks for the spoiler..." but then when the actual death scene came up...I was still crying. I've even read some Rapunzel stories when I was a kid and I still wasn't expecting Rapunzel to be able to heal Eugene with her tears. But all of that aside, here's some reasons why people found this scene so sad.
1. Rapunzel wanting so badly to heal Eugene that she's promising to give up her freedom (she never, ever breaks a promise, remember?)
2. Eugene begging Rapunzel not to heal him because he doesn't want her to live the rest of her life locked up
3. And then there's the sacrifice Eugene made. Eugene, a man who at the beginning of the movie left behind two partners to be arrested without a seconde thought, tried to manipulate Rapunzel's love for Gothel to go back to the tower, and was going to use the thugs at the Snuggly eendje to scare Rapunzel enough to make her want to go back to her tower, cut off all of Rapunzel's hair without hesitation of a seconde thought because while knowing he was going to die without it he knew at least she'd be free.
4. Rapunzel tearfully singing the healing song even though she probably knew it wouldn't work
5. "You were my new dream" "And u were mine"
6. And finally, Rapunzel soflty singing the song one last time after he's gone while a tear falls from her face

I hope u guys had fun with this countdown and I hope u all like the results! :)

 The good ol' baddies
The good ol' baddies
Well, it's time for another artikel here in Scarletland! I admit, I had this need for wanting to make another artikel again, but I didn't know of what subject to make of. Then browsing around the Internet, the inspiration struck me: I could write about Disney villains! Genius! Because that subject isn't trite and overdone at all! (/sarcasm)

Jokes aside, I've been these last days thinking and analyzing the Disney villains meer than usual (that is; I almost never think about them, so this was really unusual for me). Villains are essential for many of these movies, because if it weren't for them...

In lines with the amazing artikels written door link, link & link, I wanted to make my own artikel about favoriete things from DP films. Narrowing it all down was really hard for me so I decided to combine things into groupings so I could give globaal, algemene things from the DP films. I hope u guys enjoy!

10. Animal Friends/Sidekicks:
I always thought that the DPs having animal vrienden was the cutest idea. I like the "unrealistic" elements of fairy tales because they're not supposed to be real, that's why they are "fairy tales". I always liked the idea of animal vrienden helping cook, clean, sew, etc....

The content in this artikel is rated PG-13 for mentioning horror-thematic elements though no explicit details are given.

So I was inspired door anukriti2409's link and was inspired to do my own, especially since I knew Halloween was coming up! complimenten to link for her artikel as it was actually what inspired me to want to do "themed" articles.

Some Factors in the Countdown: Before I begin the countdown, I want to let everyone know that I think crimes done to children/innocent are the absolute worst and my countdown will no doubt reflect that entirely. Additionally, I tend to believe that it is worse...

Keeping along with my Halloween/Autumn-themed articles, I wanted to make a "DP favoriete Scary Movie" post! I LOVE to binge watch scary films in the maand of October; I suppose it's my way of celebrating the Halloween holiday since I don't do trick-or-treating of anything like that. I have heard plenty of complaints about children being on this site so for that reason I will only be providing films with a rating of "PG" of "PG-13" so that it is all content-friendly. (I even provided the rankings for each film along with the jaar since there was no "PG-13" rating pre 1984 [coincidentally!].)...

Pics have been added and updated!!
So here is the Part 2 to my musical countdown: Scores. I love Disney muziek and I honestly love the scores over the songs. They have all of the "magic Disney" feel that I absolutely adore. Also, I love how the scores can provide a blend of the different songs from it's respective films as well as stir up all of the emotions and/or memories from it's respective scene(s). For those reasons, this lijst was much harder for me to make than Part 1: Songs, but I managed to finish! As I mentioned before, I cannot get enough from the musical team of Alan Menken and Howard...

The saddest moments from DP films that made me cry and most often they still do. Some are close to hart-, hart while some are so well enacted and animated that i'm moved door the simplicity of emotions.

13. 3 good fairies put the entire kingdom to sleep:
Despite their best of efforts, they lose Aurora to the spell and the only way to make things work is to put the entire kingdom to sleep, waking only when she awakens. It makes me sad to see them blame themselves for this loss. It doesn't make me cry though, but yes, it puts me in a sad mood.

12. Cinderella crying in the forest:
More than her dress...

I got inspired door anukriti2409's artikel so I decided to write my own list, it was hard to do, but I narrowed it down to these 10 things, hope you'll enjoy this article

10. The Lantern Scene

This scene is imo the most beautiful 3d animated scene, especially the part where the King and Queen releases their lantern and then the rest of the kingdom follows, that part gives me goosebumps everytime. It also inspired me to release a lantern on New Year's Eve 2013

9. The Bayou Wedding Scene

This scene is the most beautiful thing from a DP Movie released after 2000, what especially makes this...

I have recently learned that the red hair is a recessive gene and will eventually die out in centuries to come. To think of it, it is very sad as I absolutely love the fiery reds. So this artikel is inspired from this recent learning and to dedicate to my favourite hairstyle among all princesses.

13. Cinderella:
I hated putting her so down, especially she being my 3rd favourite princess. I hate the length of her hair, its like neither here nor there. I'd say, being a house maid, the pony with simple tie-band suited her purpose. I actually liked her cute little braids in the morning. But when...

My entire life, Belle has always been my absolute favoriete princess. When I was just a toddler I dressed up like her for Halloween and when I got married, I even tried to find a dress that resembled her yellow japon, jurk (in white, of course).

In so many ways, Belle reminds me of myself. As someone who relates so closely to and identifies with Belle, I wanted to share my well-detailed analysis of her character. I believe we all know our favoriete characters the best so I would encourage others to write an artikel about their favoriete princess. I hope that this will help others understand Belle a little...

Hello everyone! Since I made a vraag about "Who are the princesses would u sort into the royal of rebel?" based on Mattel's Ever After High, some peoples commentaar gegeven there with their own idea of princesses in royal and rebel group.
Well in this artikel I want to classifying the princesses in the groups with my version.
This is the first time I wrote an artikel on Fanpop, so please understandable if many mistakes I might be doing in this article.

1. The Royals (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora)

The true royals are kind, obedient, loyal, graceful, helpful, patient, and sweet. All of them have a...

If the Disney Princesses were Housewives on Wisteria Lane, which house would be theirs? [If u are a Desperate Housewives fan, I included who lived there from the toon if anyone did.]

1. Snow White: 4350

This house is a nice beige color, between white (her skin) and yellow (her skirt). It has a gazebo style balcony that fits perfectly for her and her prince to dance around and sing to each other in. [Martha Huber/Felicia Tillman/Andrew VandeKamp]

2. Cinderella: 4354

This house is a beautiful big blue house, just like her beautiful big blue(ish) dress. It's like a palace but still with...

What if all of the Disney Princesses were American and lived in American cities? Which ones would they choose to live in? (*Note, I comprised this lijst of where they would want to live as a free choosing adult, not where they would have been born and raised. That is another list.)

Snow White: Phoenix, Arizona
Because there is a large elderly population there so Snow could help them like she did the dwarves. She is also a conservative princess that I think would enjoy living out under the stars in a meer traditional place.

Cinderella: Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota
Because it is a city rich...
