She'd rank on the low end of the middle section. She's set up as an interesting character and has a lot of neat skills but the movie does nothing with her aside from using her as a living MacGuffin. Why did the Atlantean kings or whatever, choose her as a conduit for the crystal? Why did it let her get captured? How come almost no one in Atlantis can read their language but some 20th century guy can? Kida had the potential to be a great character but the film did not do her justice.

9th. I still love her though.

She is quite unique, but I am not that fond of her...

She's not bad, but I don't think she's that great either.

It's not her fault, the filmmakers intended for her to be a legitimate warrior action girl, but thanks to the executives pushing for the characters to arrive at Atlantis sooner, most of her planned action scenes got cut, and she comes across as more of a "faux action girl" who still has to get rescued in every perilous scene she's in.

On the plus side, I do love how the story emphasizes that she is a future monarch who will take her father's place as ruler of her people, and she takes her responsibility as a ruler to her people seriously. Her entire motivation in the film centers around helping them regain their lost culture and have a decent future. She's not just a princess who they can put her in cute outfits or be the object of desire for the lead male. She is a queen in the making, and becomes a queen by the end.

5th. She's flat, but her general personality is great I like her sense of being nothing else to say other than that.

She doesn't do much to be in the Top 5.

Digoenes summed it perfectly. I love the idea of her, it's too bad the movie didn't put its best foot forward.
