Sorry for no pictures. I didn't know what to use. :)

And I really want to see this happen. I'm fine with love interest, but I think this would be really unique for a DP film, and I want to see it happen.

^ Completely agreed. For most of the DP movies, there's romance involved. It'd be nice to just have the two as friends for once. :)

We already had two princesses with zero love interest. That's Merida and Elsa. I'd like to see something different, instead of the same thing from the last two years.

I REALLY wish Disney could show a totally platonic relationship between two great characters. Just because a man and a woman are friends doesn't make them love interests, and I think Disney should establish that.

Moreover, boys watching these movies need better role models as of late, so I also think they could make her male friend a classic, brave "hero" type of character, while not making him in love with the protagonist. That would be groundbreaking.

It's nice that Disney has two amazing princesses without love interests, it's a nice refreshing spin. We have 11 princesses that have love interests, some don't even make sense and were too rushed (You know who I mean!) It being a bit of an awkward, flirty friendship is why I love Mulan and Shang, but just full on friends would be a great change of pace. Just because your friends with a boy doesn't make him your "boyfriend"

^ Exactly! People always think that when friends are different genders they're automatically in a relationship, which annoys me so much, because I have a friend who is a guy, and everyone used to think he was my boyfriend. :|

Will be interesting Disney always goes for the girl and the boy meeting and then falling for each other ,it will be interesting to see how it works while they're old friends, if it happens. While selecting It remind me of Kim Possible and Ron.

why not both? we've never had a childhood friend-turned-love-interest.

I don't see why so many people (not saying any of you, just what I've noticed) act so offended over a woman having a love interest- if it's a man, anyway. they sure don't care if it's another woman. But women getting a guy is seen as insulting but nobody cares if a man gets a girlfriend.

I'm so done with love interests.

I'm so sick of Hollywood enforcing this idea that two people of the opposite gender HAVE to end up romantically involved. They can't keep retelling the same story, but by now it feels tired and worn out at best, contrived at worst. It's like, "She HAS to end up with a dude, so let's find some reason for them to get together by the end." Anna and Kristoff come to mind.

I'm so done. I want a male and a female character who care about each other who do NOT end up as an item.

Or he could be her brother, and Disney would finally give me the brother-sister film I've always wanted. :)

Besides, ever since the failures of Rapunzel/Flynn and Kristanna, Disney just doesn't do good romances anymore (not that they were ever perfect but...). I'd rather no romance than something bland or creepy.
