I think Shan-Yu is way more evil than Maleficent... That could just be me, though.

Maleficent's the self-proclaiimed mistress of all evil. That makes her like the opposite of the virgin Mary. Shan-Yu is just a military leader with an agenda.

I think that these three are all evil, but as alafastanzio said, being an evil military leader is probably less evil than being "the mistress of all evil".

GAHHHH i HATE that reasoning. Just b/c she calls herself the mistress of all evil doesnt make her the most evil. Actions speak louder than words. So do you consider Maleficent more evil than Frollo? Who burned an entire city of people alive and tortued Quasimodo for years, killed quasi's mother and attempted to kill Esmeralda? Just because she calls herself the mistress of all evil?

Shan-Yu murdered thousands of people. Maleficent put a baby to sleep. Maleficent may be a more powerful and scary force, but she never actually did anything that evil. She did curse the baby, yes, but it was a single baby.

Even though Malificent scared the CRAP out of me as a kid, I think Shan-Yu is waaay more evil. Like princesslullaby said, he murdered hundreds of people, and Malificent put Aurora to sleep.

Hmmm...this one's tough. Shan-Yu literally gets a sick, twisted enjoyment out of murder ("How many men does it take to deliver a message?") and even kills young children for his own pleasure ("A little girl will be missing her doll...we should return it to her.") Maleficent may be evil but she wastes sixteen years obsessing over the whereabouts of one girl when she could be doing other evil things.

We don't know the other things Maleficent did or was capable of doing. Sure Shan Yu liked killing people for pleasure but Maleficent clearly liked to TORTURE people psychologically for 16 YEARS. AND SHE DID'T PUT A BABY TO SLEEP! She was going to KILL aurora but her spell was altered!! Then she intended to psychologically torture Philip for what..100 years for no good reason. He didn't do any party snubbing.

LIke Custer or Jackson, Shan Yu just wanted power and land and was willing to lie and kill to get it. That doesn't make them evil so much as pathetic excuses for human beings. Killing someone is relatively easy...Torture is worse. Hence, why yes, Frollo is an evil motherfucker.

And what's more, she can conjur the powers of Hell. Surely that requires some screening approval from Satan himself.

I'm judging by the actions during the movie. And I agree with dweeb, if she was really that evil she could be doing other things besides sitting around waiting for Aurora to turn 16.

I totally agree with that. Surely she had something better to do. You know sending frost...killing Flora's nicest flowers. That's just bitchy meaness right there. But again, she conjured upt the powers of hell during the film. Granted I figured there'd be more to it than just giant fire-breathing reptiles but it's hell nonetheless and very symbolic you see.

I agree with alastafanzio, though I think both villains are equally evil.

I also agree with pretty_angel92 - I personally wanted the Evil Queen to win :P
