she is awesome!

Like I said, she is a fresh piece of air from the others. Not only is she the first black princess, but has no sense of adventure, extremely serious, and her only thought is about doing well in business, which has not and is not the case for any other princess. She is dry straight minded, and you cannot compare her to any other DO in either category.

Looks-wise definitely, as she was the first non-white princess and her drawing style was something new too. Personality-wise, she brought some fieriness to the line-up, and some feminism ("not a prize to be won").

First non-white Princess... idk why she isn't given more credit for this. Sure, she wasn't the main character of the movie but that's beside the point. It's still a big thing. Also her personality - the first 'fiery' Princess (people may argue that Ariel was this but I'd say she was more sweet/bubbly). Very feminist character, too, which was different from the previous Princesses, except at a stretch, Belle.
