MaidofOrleans picked The Little Mermaid:
Eliminated:
Aladdin
The Princess and the Frog
Mulan
Pocahontas
Frozen
Brave

Tough choice, but I'd rather show him the other two. All these films have great qualities, but I'd especially like to see what he'd think of the first animated film ever to be nominated for the Oscar "best film" and what he'd think of the CGI in Tangled.

He'd hate the humor in this one...

Like i said, i don't think he'd care for Flynn.

But I'd be interested to know his opinion on the two movies that basically brought "back" Disney after his own films.

I think he'd be really amazed by the CGI in Tangled. He was a pioneer in the world of animation, and I think he'd love to see how it evolved.

As for The Little Mermaid, I don't really think he'd be that impressed with Ariel. I think he'd like Belle more.

While I'm sure he'd enjoy TLM, I just think he'd be absolutely fascinated by the new technology in Tangled and how animation has evolved over the decades, and I really believe he'd be SO proud of Beauty and the Beast.

8804 picked Beauty and the Beast:
I'm not sure he'd find Tangled much better than Beauty and the Beast. They're about even, actually. Overall, Rapunzel has more determination than Belle does. Belle is more of a static character, and in B&B she's kind of a secondary figure. The main characters who make most of the pertinent choices are the Beast and Gaston.

I'm not sure the 3D of Tangled is all that better than 2D. Again, the backgrounds in 3D are gorgeous, but the skin on characters looks different and stiff--- like rubber or plastic.

Of these, I guess, I'd let Walt watch the 3D movie. And I know since he started The Little Mermaid project, he'd want to see the finished version. B&B is just in the middle. It's a milestone, like Tangled is, for its special effects pre-3D, but I don't think it's special outside of that.

Swanpride picked The Little Mermaid:
I wouldn't be ashamed to show him any of those movies. But if I had to pick, I think I would go for something which shows how animation has developed. And as great as it would be to show him that his "The Little Mermaid" project has become reality, I would be worried that he might dislike the changed ending. After all, Walt was not above making the audience cry.

Though Walt would have really been amazed at this 3D movie, Tangled really does not carry the beauty of the older films.

I feel he wouldn't like the humor, but he would love every other aspect. Well, maybe not music
