This is a lijst of my favourite Disney Heroines from each Disney Era and including Pixar as well. Since I like a lot of them, I am going to add 2 Heroines from each section.

Golden Era (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-Bambi) [b]

[b]1. Snow White

I am sure the choices for this era is no suprise since there is no one else, but I really like Snow White. She is cheerful, believes in the best, but is also has a meer sarcastic, teasing humor and is bossy. I think there is meer to her than there is Cinderella and Aurora. She prayed about Grumpy liking her tonen that this is an insecurity of her and wanting to make a good impression on others. She was a great start to animated females.

2. Faline

To be honest, she is here because there is no one else and I am mutual about her. To be fair, she is a satellite love interest, but personality-wise, she is bold and aware of her attractiveness. She makes the first verplaats with Bambi when she is a child and an adult, and is there for him. There is not too much character, but she is enjoyable and gets the job done.

Silver Era (Cinderella-The Jungle Book)[b]

[b] 1. Wendy

I consider her to be the protagonist of Peter Pan as she is the one the narrative follows from beginning to end, and she develops as a character (a first for Disney animated heroines). She is adventurous, youthful, responsible, but is also motherly, and a no nonsense girl. She is one of the only characters in Peter Pan that I like and is not completely unlikable (coughPeterPancough) and I feel sorry for her for everything she is put through. She accepts the fact that it is time to grow up, but u do not have to lose your imagination which is a great message.

2. Lady

Like Wendy, she goes through a lot in her film and goes through a lot of emotions. She is innocent and responsible, but while she is with Tramp, she clearly loses some of that behaviour and learns to experience life. She is a relatable bars red though she is a dog and goes through things like abandonment, shame, recklessness and others. She chooses responsibility over a sense of freedom and that is what a lot of people now a days need to learn.

Dark Age (The Aristocats-Oliver & Company)[b]

[b] 1. Duchess

To be honest, I do not care for any heroine in this era except for Bianca but I at least do not feel dislike when I think of Duchess. Thinking about it, she has some great characteristics; she is classy, protective, elegant, compassionate and sympathetic. She has a great motherly instinct and is prepared to leave and forget Thomas for her kittens and her loyalty to her owner (sounds like Lady's dilemma minus the kids). Having class is important for everyone and it is a great trait to have.

2. Bianca

Wow, I did not even intend for Eva Gabor to take up this section of the my article, but it just happened. What I like about her is that she is the first heroine to save her male counterpart at least once. She is girly, sassy, but productive , adventurous, and smart. She is a great step towards feminism as her boss was going to let her do the case door herself (a first) and brings up that females are stronger than they thought, but Bernard tells him someone should go with her. She is never discriminated because of her sex, and is just a fun character.

Renaissance Era (The Little Mermaid-Tarzan)[b]

[b] 1. Esmeralda

The most disliked heroine in this era and she is one of my favourites. One is that she is probably the character who does the most saving (Phoebus from being beheaded; him again form drowning; him and Quasi from being hung). How much times did any other character saved someone? Another is that she is bold, a bit violent, and very guarded, since I am very guarded. She is passionate for her people and does not discriminate anyone other than their personalities (I could do a debate on this all day). She becomes a bit meer trusting, and she is meer mature than the vorige heroines.

2. Jane

Jane is a really entertaining character and interesting, though she is not that much other than a love interest (just being honest). She is very intelligent, loves to teach, creative, artistic, classy, and proper. She develops and becomes less of a proper lady and meer free-willing and carefree. She is one of the only heroines who promotes art and education in Disney, and she is very sympathetic about her situation. She is attracted to this ape-man and is invested in his world, but knows she belongs to humans and not to uncivilized life. She is just really likeable.

Post-Renaissance Era (Fantasia 2000-The Princess and the Frog)

1. Nani

Nani is a very relateable character. We actually see her stressed and in conflict, which is not common for heroines. I think a reason she is relateable is because it is taken place in 2002 and is meer modern than any other WDAS film, so we connect to her and her world. We all knows how it feels when nothing is working and the love we share for a sibling, which she addresses. She is kind of serious and busy but when it comes to her situation, it makes sense. She is cool.

2. Tiana

Of course she is going to be on here,(and she is the only other one I care about in this era). One of the biggest reasons I like her is because she was a breath of fresh air for Disney Princesses and even Heroines. There were countless feisty, free-spirited, adventurous girls in Disney and was starting to get old. She is serious, ambitious, proactive in everything that is thrown at her, and she is very sassy and sarcastic, and I am sarcastic so I love that. She is actually a very well-written character and it is understandable why she is the way she is; she has to work even harder because at that time, blacks and women were judged and had to work extremely hard to get what she wanted. She is the character that got me back into Disney.

Modern Era (Tangled-present)

1. Rapunzel

Well, these two are here because there is on one else in this era except Vanellope who annoys me. What I like about Rapunzel is that she is nice to everyone, and she is talented in a lot of things. She is a very developed character and is engaging. She has this spirit about her that makes u care for her. She is proactive and kickass, and saves Flynn a lot of the time, and she does not rub it in (the movie does though). While she is a bit too perfect for my liking, I have no reason to dislike her.

2. Calhoun

Calhoun from Wreck-It Ralph; she does not fit in with the heroines just like Wreck-It Ralph does not fit in with the other WDAS films but that is not a bad thing. She is bossy, obviously kickass, productive, mature, and controlling which is usually described for a cold, unlikable character, but it actually works on her. We know she means well, and she has a backstory of her fiance being killed, so she is very guarded in general. She is a tomboy, but there is still a bit of girlishness in her, especially with the way she is around Felix.

Pixar

1. Jessie

She is the first engaging heroine to come out of Pixar (Bo peep was a Satellite Love interest, and Atta was close to being engaging, but not there). She is very adventurous, vulnerable, spunky, energetic, and fun to watch. She is a claustrophobic because of her traumatic (to toys) backstory and she is relateable. No one wants to be forgotten and old news. She is a cowgirl that is always on the move, and u want to go on the ride with her. She is just a fun and deep character; the perfect mix of girly girl and tomboy.

2. Barbie

Barbie is perfect proof that u can be a strong, proactive character and girly, which "feminists" tend to forget of think cannot exist. Well, she is a barbie so of course she is naive, trusting, girly, and all into fashion and stuff like that, but she is one of the reasons why the toys were able to escape the daycare and plays a big part in the story. She is a bit manipulative which is proven with how she dealt with Ken. She is not really the deepest character, but she is fun and engaging.

Thank u all for reading my article; and feel free to commentaar about what u feel about the artikel and characters.

 The Best Of The Worst
The Best Of The Worst
I'm sure some people will disagree with my article, but um... oh well. This lijst isn't based on which ones are my favoriete villains. It's based on who is the most wicked out of all of them. For example even though my two favorieten are Cruella and Ursula they won't be listed as number one and number two, because I think there are some that are a lot meaner. And there are some like Scar that aren't big favorieten of mine, but that doesn't mean I don't think they're good at being bad. And well... u get the idea.
