This isn't a review of Steven Moffat's writing, this is just an opinion/conclusion/observation I've come to. u can agree of disagree with me on this and I'd love to hear both sides. I believe Steven Moffat is trying to completely verplaats away from Russell T. Davies' Doctor Who series. He changed the look of the TARDIS and the sonic screwdriver. If u think about it, only 2 enemies from the vorige seasons were mentioned again in Season 5, the Daleks and the weeping angels. The Daleks are a classic Doctor Who enemy, while the weeping angels were something Steven Moffat created himself. He wrote Blink. Also none of the vorige adventures of companions have been mentioned. While in RTD's seasons, The Doctor pined away for Rose, long after she was gone, in Season 5, Rose wasn't even mentioned. Infact the only person who showed up in Season 5 that was from a vorige season, was River Song who showed up in that Silence in the bibliotheek episode in Season 4. But that episode too was written door Steven Moffat. Point is, Steven Moffat is trying to get away from the "image" created door Russel T. Davies.
