A Disney Tale: Jiminy Cricket introduces two tales - Bongo the beer (a slightly disturbing tale of love in the beer community) and Mickey and the Beanstalk (a Disney version of the well-known fairytale).

Four years after the appearance of Mickey Mouse, in 1934 born a character destined to fortunate happening equally: Donald Duck. This is a gosling, devised from Walt Disney and realized graphically from Ub Iwerks, but it is thanks to great designer Al Tagliaferro that Donald eend acquired that graphical style, funny and characteristic, that has contributed to giving to the comic strips amusing scenes. Early debut
Donald may well have made his first printed appearance in Mickey muis Annual 3 (published 1932; the annual for 1933), a 128-page British hardback. This book included the poem Mickey's Hoozoo, Witswitch and Wotswot, which listed all of Mickey's then-current boerenerf, barnyard animal vrienden (most of Disney's major characters developed out of this boerenerf, barnyard scenario). Among them was a eendje named Donald Duck. Besides the name, however, there is little similarity between this character and the one introduced in The Wise Little Hen during 1934. Donald eend as he first appeared in The Wise Little Hen
According to Leonard Maltin in his introduction to The Chronological Donald - Volume 1, Donald was created door Walt Disney when he heard Clarence Nash doing his "duck" voice while reciting "Mary had a little lamb". Mickey muis had lost some of his edge since becoming a role model for children and Disney wanted a character that could portray some of the meer negative character traits he could no longer bestow on Mickey.

     ne of the most populair of the Disney cartoon characters, Donald eend made his debut in the Silly Symphony cartoon "The Wise Little Hen" on June 9, 1934. His fiery temper endeared him to audiences, and in the 1940s he surpassed Mickey muis in the number of cartoons reaching the theaters. Eventually, there were 128 Donald eend cartoons, but he also appeared in a number of others with Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and Pluto. His middle name, shown in a wartime cartoon, is Fauntleroy.
