Goldie is the strong and tough love interest of Scrooge McDuck. She is the ice cold queen of Dawson who can melt the hart-, hart of the King of the Klondike. There has been iterations of her in comics and cartoons but the vraag remains, what made them so unique and beloved.
Ducktales Reboot Goldie
This Goldie is different from the other Goldie because she did not admit that she loved Scrooge meer than goud ever but she showed it instead. It was revealed that the reason why Goldie left him at the ice because there was a beast coming she thought he would get out. To be fair, he did, Scrooge did not get out through ice melting, we can clearly see the ice where Scrooge is in not melted at all while Goldie's side of the ice did.
Also she did risk her precious goud to save. People can say that she was immune to it anyway but door saving Scrooge, she sacrifice the chance of easy goud and took the hard way, getting out of gold, getting a ship and then somehow aan het uploaden it instead of letting Scrooge die and then finish Glomgold herself, which through the fight we can see her easily capable of doing.
The point of Ducktales Reboot Goldie was not a love interest, she is someone who love Scrooge but never revealed it to any of us. That is why I like reboot Goldie very much, she does not tell us, she shows us she loves Scrooge.
Plus she even gave him a letter to call her again.
This Goldie is the first Goldie Ducktales fans think of when they heard the name, this Goldie is basically a female Scrooge and the classic on-sceen Goldie. She appears in some episodes of Ducktales and have the anger that can rival both Scrooge's and Donald's COMBINED! In "Till Nephews Do Us Part", she tried to kill Scrooge for almost marrying other woman.
She is smart enough to out-scrooge scrooge in money deals like in the episode "Ducky Mountains High", where she tricked Scrooge for a whole goud deposit while Scrooge gets gold-filled stumps.
Scrooge apparently dreams of her in Scroogerello and I am glad it was in a kid's show.
Carl Bark's Scrooge
She is the first Goldie and the first person Scrooge has a soft spot for. In the comic, Back to the Klondike, Scrooge challenges Goldie to a goud race to keep her claim and the goud found even though he would gain nothing from it, it makes no sense at first. Later, Scrooge told the boys to make Goldie dig at a place with no goud but Scrooge's goud cache was there and the boys rooted for Goldie the whole time. The boys were sick and disgusted of Scrooge whining about his loss all because he did not take a memory pill but Donald told them that Scrooge actually did took the pill and told the boys to help Goldie dig at the goud cache to make her win.
This turned from a "Serves u right Scrooge" moment to a very touching and rare beautiful moment of Scrooge's soft and sensitive human side.
Don Rosa's Scrooge
She may not be the first, but she is the most developed Goldie in the entire lore of Scrooge's life. She is what inspired Reboot Goldie and the stepping stone for the original Ducktales Goldie. This Goldie was selfish and mean but had feelings for Scrooge.
She ultimately chose Scrooge when she found out that Scrooge loved her meer than his claim and goud and when Scrooge told that she could leave and go back home, punches Scrooge and cried. Some time later, Scrooge was gegeven a letter that Goldie loved him but he taught it was going to be something bad and did not want to hurt door the woman he loved and it was very very sad.
This was also why she is personally my favoriete Goldie, she made me feel with the character and we saw her struggles and pain. She is very developed and made the audience feel her pain.
